Another 2 miles with Leslie

I did my 2 mile walk this morning with Leslie. Notice I am on a first name basis with that woman. LOL It was hard today. I had a little bit of a hard time keeping up with her today. One time when she was kicking, I had to go back to walking, just couldn't do it. I almost quit at the one mile, but felt like I could go on to do two miles.

I bought new shoes. Payless' version of shape ups. They feel great even walking around the mall.

I ate a ton of fruit and vegetables today, so I got that in. Had a nice salad with dinner tonight. I will have to buy more salad. I notice that if I eat a salad with my dinner I am not as hungry.

The temperatures were very hot today in Pittsburgh, we hit over 90. I was in my pool. Felt nice. My two sons are going to go to Washington, DC and Baltimore, MD with friends of ours, so it's just our daughter. It is very quiet without them.

Regretfully, I did not get any walking in today. We went to church and after that I had to make pasta salad to take over my sister's for my brother-law's birthday party. We went to the party and came home and I cleaned my son's room. It was disgusting...

By the time I got done with that, I wasn't feeling too good. Stomach problems again.

So... tomorrow I will be walking the 2 miles with Leslie.

I helped my husband clean a fitness place today. Actually he cleaned and I rode the stationary bike. Talk about great equipment. I have a stationary bike at home, but this one was like a Cadillac vs. a Chevy Cobalt. Big difference. Nice padded seat, everything was computerized. I did 2 miles in 20 minutes. Then I did a one minute cool down. That was what was programed in the machine. It was great!

Right now I am baking for my niece's wedding next week. I want to fit into that "little black dress" and look nice.

I hope everyone has a safe and happy 4th of July. Enjoy the long weekend. They don't come around long enough.

I wasn't sure I could do it, but I did! I just started and thought well, try to do the 2 mile and I did it!

I did not do well on my eating today at all. I had another piece of my birthday cake and went to a friends and had pizza and two glasses of wine. I really enjoyed myself and hadn't seen my friend for a year, so it was just wonderful to get together with her.

Tomorrow I am going to help my husband clean, so if I don't do my walk, I will get some exercise in.

    I remember when walking two miles to school was NOT a big deal. Congrats! Well, we splurge on birthday cake. Putting calories in is a lot easier and more fun than burning them off. I understand that some people really have fun with their exercise.
I haven't achieved that moving nirvana, yet. Just keep on keeping on! TEE

I had a minor setback yesterday, but I made up for it today. I got my 2 mile walk in with Leslie Sansone DVD. I used a real DVD as the on demand 2 mile walk was taken off. This seemed easier than the one on demand. I don't know why. It may be that the weather here has cooled down and I didn't sweat as much or it could be that this DVD is a little different. It is nice to mix things up a little, so that was a good thing.

I am trying to get my house organized. Over the winter months with working, I let it go. I am trying not to get overwhelmed with it and take it a little every day.

I do feel sore today, but that's ok. Maybe tomorrow depending on how I am feeling, I will do the one mile. Maybe if I rest every other day by doing one mile and then the 2 mile, that may be a plan...

I feel thinner... probably my imagination, but if that keeps me moving, I'll take it.
