Feel like a High School Freshman Again

Tuesday, January 05, 2010

Since I am a teachers' aide, I work all over the school district. Today I was at the Senior High School which is huge! I don't work there very often, so I tend to get lost a lot. The only thing good about working at the HS is that I get a lot of exercise in, due to wandering around looking lost. I have a map, but can't read it very well. LOL

I did not do very well on my food intake. My son had a dr.'s appointment and we got home later and I was tired, so my son and I made breakfast for dinner. I had scrambled eggs with ham and cheese, but my son makes fantastic pancakes and I had them also. Ate well for breakfast and lunch.

Well, I didn't sleep well last night, so I am going to log off and get some zzzzz's. emoticon

I bet it is interesting to have a really big school. I went to school with 130 students and it was from Kindergarten thru 12 grade, so no one got lost. Anyways having breakfast during any other time is nice to have once in a while.

Mmmmm......I like having breakfast for dinner. You gave me an idea for tonights dinner. Maybe just the pancakes though :)
I know that I'd be lost trying to find my way around the school too. We have a huge hospital not far from my house and I thought about being an escort(wheeling them from their room to appts.etc.) but then I realized that I'd NEVER find my way around that place emoticon. I have off again today,so I guess I'll go clean emoticon Hope your day is going well.

Good Day Today

Monday, January 04, 2010

I had a good day today. The kids are back at school and I got a lot accomplished today. I exercised for my 1 mile easy walk with Leslie Sansone. I don't know when I will be ready for the 2 mile, the 1 mile is still a little difficult. I guess maybe next week because this is only the second time I have done it since long before Christmas.

I am sorry to say that I am glad the holidays are over. I get too stressed and there is always something I should be doing. Now that everything is over, I can get back to my normal life.

I called the unemployment office and got that straight --- AGAIN. I know I need to not stress over this, but when it comes to me and money, I stress. I will be looking into other school districts for work, so maybe something permanent will come up. Who knows, it's a New Year and a new decade.

Well, I won't be long tonight because my laptop isn't working right and I am downstairs in the so called computer room freezing.

Remember that ANY exercise you do is better than none.I LOVE the holidays but you are right in that they are stressful,~r-e-a-l-l-y stressful, and when they are over you can finally get back to the old routines. Have a good day!

I am so glad to hear that you had a good day. If you don't feel you can do the WATP 2 mile you could do the 1 mile twice in a day. I sometimes break my exercise up. I am still getting the calories burned but not wearing myself out.

The Second Day is definitely better

Saturday, January 02, 2010

After all the excitement that we had at our household on New Year's Eve and New Year's Day, things have settled down. At least for now. We are all at a peace treaty right now. I wouldn't say things are back to normal, but everyone is trying to get along. My MIL is practicing on trying to be nice to the kids and zip her lips. Which is extremely hard for her.

Anyhow, we went to a friend's house yesterday for a delicious turkey dinner with a terrific dessert called Magic Mountain. We also had coconut cream pie. Not exactly the way most people start their New Year's, but it was quite enjoyable.

Our friend bought a $1,000 treadmill that I was allowed to try out. I enjoyed it alot. I only did 10 minutes, but he set it so I could do a little of an incline. Wish I had money to buy one. Maybe someday or maybe I should look into joining the gym up the street.

I did my Leslie Sansone DVD today. Started out slowly and did the 1 mile EasyWalk.

Looked into airline tickets for Las Vegas for Easter time. We have frequent flyer miles, but one person doesn't have enough for a full trip. We either need to buy some or trade to the other person and pay full price for a ticket. I have to do some research and figure out what would be the best way to go.

So... I am starting the second day of the New Year feeling better and maybe hopeful... emoticon

I am sorry to see that you have not been feeling well but I am happy to see that you are feeling better. I love the Leslie Sansone tapes. WATP is something I can actually do and keep up with.

Happy Two thousand and ten

Thursday, December 31, 2009

Hello Everyone!
Welcome to almsot 2010.

Regretfully, I am not feeling good today. It is another ugly depressing day in Pittsburgh. I know I have irritable bowl, but I don't feel good again. As wierd as this seems, it appears the more fiber I eat, the next day I get sick. I know they say that adding too much fiber at one time you can get sick, so I don't know if that is it or not.

Well, tomorrow is New Year's Day and maybe, 2010 will be the best year.

No Cookies or Candy Today

Saturday, December 26, 2009

It is now 11:23 p.m. Eastern Standard Time and I have not had a cookie or a piece of candy today. This is the first day in a long time that I can honestly say this. I did have some chocolate, but it was a 100 calorie Little Debbie snack and two (50) calorie chocolate mousse puddings. I almost gave in and had a piece of chocolate candy, but resisted. I have some delicious homemade chocolate candy waiting for me in the refrigerator.

I ate a good breakfast, dinner and lunch. I did have some scalloped potatoes with my ham.

Tomorrow, I will get some exercise in. One day a time, one day at a time... emoticon
