We leave for our winter home in Texas tomorrow morning about eight!
Today has been busy, busy, busy. I think I've made a million trips between the house and the motor home! But at least I got in my 10,000 plus steps! Woo Hoo!
They are predicting rain tomorrow throughout most of our route.
Hopefully we will be able to find the sun at some point. I have big plans to keep my promise of 10,000 steps per day even if I have to walk in the rain.
I have also packed the motor home with healthy choices to eat on the way.
We are taking 5 days this to get there so we can enjoy the drive. (1700 miles) But it will be really nice to pull in to our place on Sunday.
I'm looking forward to swimming in the pool and riding my bike,
and walking around the park.
Brownsville is where I started my journey last February with Spark People, and where I lost the pounds. So coming full circle gives me hope that I will be able to get back on track and lose that last 10 to 15 pounds.
I have been struggling to find my motivation and my momentum all summer.
So last week I decided to get back to basics with one streak at a time. One step at a time.
My first streak was to make sure I took at least 10,000 steps a day. I did it!
So this is my plan: to add one new step each week while still following the previous steps.
By setting these basic goals again I am beginning to find my drive and commitment again.
I know this is a lifetime journey for my health but sometimes I get off track. Hopefully this approach will help me get back to the place I was when I joined Spark People last February. I was determined and dedicated to a healthier me and I am starting to feel that again!
