This morning I saw my doctor. My blood pressure was great 110/80. I told her it's because I haven't been at work. We laughed. I will be getting blood tests done this weekend. She will be monitoring me as I need someone to be accountable to. I will be weighed again in 6 weeks. We agreed on the goal weight of 150 pounds. She doesn't want me losing more than a pound a week. I am not a fan of the doctor's scale. They always weigh you 5 pounds more than the one at home. BOOOO!!! I will be journalling my food and will bring her copies of that to look over. For now, excercise will consist of the treadmill and exercise DVD's. Next project? A menu plan for the week ahead. ![]()

I have been AWOL from Sparkpeople for a long time. I have logged in from time to time but haven't been the "die hard" I once was. I really missed it! The last time I was very dedicated with my plan and with Sparkpeople and it worked. I am back again to see results.
All of my life I have focused on weight, weight, weight. This time my focus is going to be energy, wellness, happiness and enjoying life!! The weight will come off if I focus on the others. It's a win-win situation.
I have noticed that I am affected by certain foods. So I am choosing the Eating Clean method and will gradually meld into the Gluten-Free diet too.
My doctor will also be monitoring my progress. I will see her once a month and she will track my weight, blood pressure and blood tests. I know myself enough that the accountability piece is very important for me to stay on track.
I have started knitting to keep my hands and mind busy so I don't eat out of boredom.
My girlfriend gave me a beautiful teacup and some great tasting tea that I can have to relax with in the evenings therefore deterring me from mindless eating.
There are so many things I want to accomplish this year and I will be busy planning for those also which will keep my hands and mind busy instead of grabbing food. I need to write my goals down and commit to them. I believe Dr. Phil says the difference between a dream and a goal is that one is written down with a plan to achieve it.
People need to feel complete physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually. If any of these lack it effects the person as a whole. I will be workiing on each of these needs and share everything with you on my journey.
Life is full of second chances. The chances stop making themselves available if we stop believing.
