Refreshing workout

Tuesday, June 09, 2009

The leader of the class added some more exercises approved by American Arthritis Society. She said that the center is planning on adding deep water exercise classes for arthritis. They already offer classes for MS, breast cancer and pregnacy in the cold water pool. I hope the class will meet at a time when I can go. The cold water pool is 82-84 degrees while the therapy pool is 92-94 degrees. Quite a difference, but if we are moving, it may not make a difference to me.
The godchildren's mom just came in and stated that her husband has been restationed to Alaska. I just asked when they have to be there and she said September 10th which is Trey's 16th birthday. They have to be gone for 2 years. This is going to be a big change for everyone. Before they knew where they were going, Jasmine said that she was going to stay with us. She doesn't have a choise. I just wonder if her mother will go or just stay in KY....

Change is so hard. Alaska is supposed to be beautiful, just so far away. I hope that everything works out well.

The air is working!

Monday, June 08, 2009

The air went out yesterday. My husband gets a lot hotter than I do. I'm greatful for ceiling fans.
There was a wasps nest in the unit. My husband turned it back on this morning and it was working again!
I will cycle today since I will be able to get cool.

2nd day no chips!

Saturday, June 06, 2009

I haven't had the dreaded potato chips today! I did cook the greens from the garden. There are too many for us to eat so we are freezing some and giving some to family.
Other than that, I am frogged the pair of socks I started for my husband and started them again on a smaller needle. I am also watching FN. Happy weekend all!

I made it to water wellness again, so I made my commitment of taking water areobics three times a week. Still need to do the strenthening exercises and cycle for at least 30 minutes but I have time to do it. I may do the strentening exercises tomorrow since I was in the pool today.

I haven't had chips in months. One chip and I'm a gonner, even the "healthy" ones at my local co-op. I was buying groceries there today and boy did I have a craving for chips! I've learned where to draw the line. Don't even have one.

Oh my, chips are my downfall as well! I love all of the flavors. They are all soooooo good! I try not to buy them anymore because if I open a bag, I have to eat the BAG. All of them! Ahhhhhh!!

Good for you for your determination and progress.

Oh no!

It rained today and it was hard for me to move. My husband suggested that I stay home, but I was dressed so I went to the class. I am glad I made the effort!
For lunch I fixed tuna salad however my husband opened the dreaded potato chips! I had a few but I was very reserved. emoticon
So since I was so bad I spent 30 minutes on the cycle.
I washed my hair so that I could get it braided again. I think that I will keep my hair braided until I feel a lot better. I don't feel like sitting in the beauty shop for hours. emoticon

You accomplished a lot. The chips were in moderation. Just keep going forward.

YOU did well. However, your DH may need some lessons on supporting you on your program. LOL

I hope he is truly supportive of your goals.

I always feel better when I am in the pool splashing about. But I too have a bit of a challenge putting myself together and getting there. Maybe a husband would be helpful for that!Ooooo potato chips, can't remember when. Just log them and correct your numbers. That keeps me from straying! Keep up the great work.
I love the colors of you crochet throw, so pretty!
