Making it through Saturday and the Movies & taking control!

Well I headed out Saturday to visit my daughter at college. We went to the movies, and as always, I struggle with snacks at the theater. So I decided I had to be in control. I ordered a small popcorn, asked for only a drop of butter, which the attendant was very helpful and a diet coke. We enjoyed the movie and when it was over it was time for dinner! I told my daughter that I had to go somewhere I could eat healthy. After recommending several places, my daughter could not agree on a place. I took control and said fine! I will get you something to go and I will go home and eat. After picking up my daughters Fried Chicken to go, my husband and I headed home. We ending up stopping by a local seafood restaurant and I had steamed shrimp and salad. I stayed on track with my calories and still had my popcorn!!!!!

    That's great. It's not easy to go to a movie theatre. The first thing you notice is the smell of hot buttery popcorn wafting in the air as you walk in the door. I went to a movie with my sister awhile ago. I took a ziploc bag full of baby carrots since they don't have any healthier snacks at the theatre. During the movie my sister made some comment about me crunching my carrots. I thought, she's got to be kidding, with the rustling sounds of candy and popcorn bags and the crunching sounds of nachos and popcorn all around, she's got some nerve to even say anything about my carrots. That's my strategy for dealing with going to a movie theatre. It satisfies the urge to munch something while watching the movie, and it's a healthy crunchy snack. I know you're not supposed to bring your own snacks into the theatre, but I pity the fool who would try to kick me out because I brought carrots. Don't mess with a fat woman whose trying to lose weight.

So today I wake up with my husbands cold. My whole head hurts! How come when you feel really bad some how food makes your feel better? I just took some medicane and willtry to stay on track.

Weigh in today!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Down 3.2lbs for a total of 16lbs!!!!

I even went out to eat twice this week and managed to control portions and choices!!!!!!!!!!!!

I working on week four and have managed to stay on track with my eating. I have even managed to eat out and control my portions! I had my first break through today. I manage to walk up the stairs correctly. It's getting easier. My legs don't hurt as bad. Yesterday I had someone say "your losing weight". That's always a good sign. I'm still having a hard to motivating myself to exercise, but I will continue to try.
