ON THE GO

Tuesday, March 15, 2011

When my children where home and their where a lot, 23 foster children, 2 of my husbands and 1 foster daughter we adopted. I was doing something one day and a couple of the children called me the energizing bunny and that name stuck with the children. Along with raising them I also work 1 or 2 jobs at a time. Now we didn't have all the children at once but during an 8 years time. I was sorry to stop taking care of the children and we where voted as the best home on several occasions. I had to have surgery and they called me with 3 little ones but we couldn't take them and they closed us. Several of my friends adopted some of my children, so they found good homes.

Today they would have called me the energizing bunny because I was on the go all day and night. Arrived home about 9:50 PM and make a quick sandwich and sat down to do this. 3 leagues and the morning league I bowled 2 really good games and didn't make my average 20 pins under but the others 40 pins over so it game out okay. We won 3 games and during the afternoon we where on the lanes we don't like and I only hit my average 1 time but others didn't hit there's either. We won 3 there too. Tonight I could have gone home and made out better except for the last game. You talk about bad lanes it wasn't even believable. a 203 bowled 137 most people didn't get their average at all or once. We ended up taking 2 by some miracle. So not too bad 3, 3 and 2 and just have to see what happens tomorrow.

I got my walking in for sure, I will have over 10,000 steps and tomorrow I should do good too.
Friday is too be 70 here and I hope no wind or rain because I will be outside. I will have to rest when I get home tomorrow and Wednesday afternoon so I can go out with my friend. Then rest after on Thursday so I can work Friday. When my daughter that was doing my hair heard I bowled 3 leagues today she wanted to know why I couldn't drive down to her house and hour and half away. Now yes I am bowling 3 to help out a team that has a member out under Dr.'s care and I take aspirin and strong meds for pain in my back. Plus if something goes wrong I am only 5 minutes from home. I can move around or sit while bowling but in a car I am still for one and a half hours and it is not good. I can hardly move when I have to drive for any time just around town. So that is that no I am not driving there.

Haven't checked to see if I have any hits on the dating line after posting my picture. Time will tell but if you don't like there are other fish in the sea as they say. Have to finish up my Spark points and have you been doing the quizzes, I have and have done them all no more to do.

All have a great Wednesday and enjoy the sunshine. God bless you dearly from my heart.

I like a lot of the Spark Peoples changes and I keep finding more.

Catch you tomorrow and see what I can get into.

I think it's wonderful that you took so many children under your wing Joyce, I'm sure you and they have happy memories of growing up.

Some days I'll full of energy and feel I can achieve anything and I have the same nick name because of the battery in my chest LOL.

I wish there were more quizzes Joyce I've done them all too!

You have a great day too hun emoticon

WARM WEATHER WHERE ARE YOU.

Monday, March 14, 2011

I can't wait till it is warm and I can be outside. I can get so much exercising done when I am out. I love the sunshine, not a sun bunny but the warmth on my body through my clothes. I swim almost every day when I open the pool and that will be the last of April or the first week of May. It takes a week or 2, too get it ready to swim in and then it is open till the first week of October. Now hoping the weather cooperates and doesn't turn cold in September this year.

All the gardening, flower gardening and grass cutting keep me busy so I only bowl 2 times and 1 is in the morning and 1 at night in the summer.

Today cleaning, more wash and getting things ready for tomorrow. I have always laid out my clothes for the next day and sometimes for a couple days. I don't like to be rushed and worry about what I am going to wear. I get up shower, dress, makeup, hair, eat and take care of the dogs and I am out the door in an hour or hour and half if I go slow.

Tomorrow is going to be so close in time bowl morning, afternoon, after get my hair done and hope I have enough time to feed the dogs and right back to bowl at night. So tonight I will have to work on my Spark point page before I go to bed because I won't get home till almost 10PM tomorrow. Always on the go and love it.

Time to bring this to a close and walk some more before the day is over. God bless everyone and pray for all the world. Pass Spark people on to others.

Catch you tomorrow and will tell you about my day.

I am a sun bunny Joyce LOL nothing I like more than lazing on a bed in the sun with the radio on and a nice breeze- bliss.
But I love jogging when it's sunny but fresh out, I prefer to take my exercise outdoors too even to the point of taking my free weights and yoga mat into the garden.

Enjoy your bowling emoticon

PRAY FOR OTHERS

Sunday, March 13, 2011

Today my heart is heavy because of all that is happening outside our comfort zone. In Japan they have lost so many and expect 10,000 more. The worst part is the Nuclear plants that should have never been build there in the first place. It is an earthquake zone but they did and have already had 1 melt down and an explosion that just left the steel shell. What will happen if they melt down or explode and the radiation goes in the air. How far a damage in land and deaths will it make. Pray with all of your heart that God watches over them and the world. Hawaii and California have had their damage and deaths also. Then in other areas with all the rain terrible flooding and it seems it never ends. We live in our comfort zone and there is nothing wrong with that because when we move or settle for our remaining years we pick what we think will be an easy life with our surrounding. I live in Gods valley as we say because we don't get any of the bad weather or earth quakes, Now all we would need is a Tusami to hit and the eastern seaboard would be gone. Where I live I can not get out of my area except over a bridge, if anyone came here and took out the bridges I would need a boat.
I watched a movie one time where they came to a small town and how the teens fought and that is when I thought of where I lived. It still is God's country and he will keep us safe.

Today has been a quiet day and I did some housework, laundry and made some spaghetti sauce with deer meat. I had some spaghetti and meatballs but we ate the meatballs in sandwiches last night. I still had the spaghetti in spaghetti sauce so added the meat sauce.

I have been taking the quiz's that we have on our Spark point page and I have learnt a lot and then I thought I knew something from experience and I was wrong. Some I have done really good and some not so good. We learn as we take them so that is good. I really like all the information I am learning by doing the Spark points and also by visiting my Spark friends. I have finished visiting everyone 241 and now I am going back again and will keep doing it over and over. It takes about 3 months to do it and that will mean I get to say hi 4 times a year to all of you.

I am really wiped out today and my body hurts all over. Tomorrow will be better and I will continue on. Tonight I am going to try and put 2 photos on, I hope. Going to call it a night with this. Everyone please pray for everyone. God bless all of you and I hope you are all safe. Spark people have people in the bad areas hope they are okay.

Catch you tomorrow and sleep well. I sleep better during day light saving time.

Commenting on the fact that you have visited all 241 of your friends. I never thought of doing that. Since I only have 45 friends I should be able to get it done in about 6 weeks. Thanks for the idea. I'll do it.

Thanks for blogging. I think we are so fortunate and should be grateful, expressing that in prayer as well as pray for those who are suffering. God Bless You.

What's unfolding in Japan is truly tragic and I pray for them all.

We are so fortunate, I count my blessings emoticon emoticon

And let's not forget to pray for ourselves! Not that we don't have enough blessings as it is, but to show our gratitude for the blessings that we do have. Life is indeed filled with turmoil and many have much more to be concerned about that their diet/exercise program. Sometimes I realize that I am being selfish when I already have so much and want even more.

It is so true about the need to keep others in our prayers.
I have been praying for the people of Japan. When I saw the report on the news, I just cried. So many lives , in a moment of time, facing such trama.
It is moments like this, that I am reminded of how much we take for granted the blessings we experience.
Be blessed,
Relisa

GRANDDAUGHTER ON THE MOVE

Saturday, March 12, 2011

Today of course was early and I picked up DGD and had a drink and snack for her. She did really good bowling a 86, 54 and series 140, her average is 53. They won 1 game and total series, lost the other game by 2 pins so they are still in first place. I give her a quarter for getting her average and winning games so she got a dollar today. We came home and made her a sandwich and I ate cottage cheese. Tonight we had meatball sandwiches and salads. We baked chocolate chip, shamrock, oatmeal, mini brownies and peanut butter cookies, and sticky buns. I have packed a bag for daughter to take home. Oatmeal and peanut butter where from scratch and I am trying to find a good recipe and haven't yet. Well we played games, exercised, walked baked, and ate, what more could you ask for. Mother came early so I will get to bed at a decent time.

I am going to try and go to my girlfriends that I don't get to see much but she takes me to the Dr. Even if it is only a couple of hours I am going to try. We did get Callie washed today and I am going to get her cut tomorrow or Monday. She had sticker briers under her because she is long hair and that is going to change. She smells good and will look good too soon. She is curly now and that looks cute.

I have watched some of the weather news and my heart goes out to all the people every where that are dealing with this. Say prays for them because they need them.

I am beat so I am going to close and work on getting to bed early. God bless and keep you safe always. So glad Spark people brought us together.

Catch you tomorrow and we will see what comes about. My love to all of you.

SLOW, SLOW DAY

Friday, March 11, 2011

Today I did not go any where because I was not up to it. There is water laying every where but I am never going to talk about what little bit of weather we get here compared to what is happening in other parts of the world. God bless all the people in harms way and thank God that he protects us. I am just going to start taking day by day because the way I am going I can't depend on being good the next day. I have a month and half almost before I go to the Dr. but I sure don't like what is going on.

I called my friend and said we would try for next week. Tomorrow I have to be up real early for DGD to take her to her bowling and her Mom with be in training for her job so I have to go. It is to be nice out so that will help and I have things planned to do while she is here. Last time she came I told her I had to rest and sat down for about an hour and she went to draw pictures. Her Mom is trying to get her to understand that I am not always good so we compensate.

My daughter brought my Van back tonight and filled it with gas which was nice since it had half a tank when she picked it up. She is using her father in laws jeep because he doesn't drive anymore. It is taking a month for them to find out if the company or insurance is going to pay for work on the car. They have done all the checking and now have sent the papers to the insurance company. Since most the problems are from the recall that they didn't honor it should be cut and dry. Hope it is over soon.

I am getting my walking in and when I did my articles they had some other exercises I can do so I am going to go back and print it out. I keep trying to find more to do and I will soon have enough to cover my whole body. Some I have to be careful with my back but there are enough out there I can use.

I had part of a pork chop tonight that I was going to stuff but decided I didn't need that so I had a salad and tablespoon of cubed potatoes and onions. I am going to try and find a stuffing with veggies or maybe egg plant instead of bread. We can keep changing or adding on our exercises, just wish I had this when I was younger I would be a lean machine.

I wish you all a goodnight and wonderful sunny Saturday. God bless everyone and keep you safe out of harms way. Spark people are our teachers.

Catch you tomorrow and see what I can get in.

Mr heart goes out to those victims of the earthquake and tsunamis. I watched in horror at the news last night.

Sounds like DGD is happy to amuse herself while you rest, she's so considerate, bless and your daughter filling up for you was also a nice gesture.

Great going on the exercises!
Have a wonderful weekend emoticon
