One Whole Week!

So I've successfully logged in, worked out, tracked my food, calories, and fitness for a whole week! I am so proud of myself. I've been a member since 2008, and finally I am truly committed to losing weight and being healthy once again.
I'm really exhausted though, but I'm not going to stop not when I've already lost 5 pounds.

    That is excellent! It's time consuming and it gets boring to do that. I know.
I like that I have my food diary. When I can't figure out what to eat or buy at the store - I look back and remember what was good not so good. Helps me with the grocery list!

I'm back

The past year has been pretty stressful. Moving and family issues. Unfortunately my health suffered. Went to the doc last week and received some not so good news. Obese, high blood pressure and high cholesterol! Self-medicating my sorrows with food and alcohol has not done me any good.
As soon as I got the news, I got into gear. Read up on the DASH diet, and got back on sparkpeople! I'm really serious this time because my health is at stake. I've been so hungry! I feel like I can't eat anything. No salt, lowfat, and no fun. I know I'll get used to it soon, and I'll be more motivated when I start dropping the pounds!
Here's to the way I'm going to live the rest of my life! emoticon

    You can do it! In Feb. last year, my cholesterol checkup was not so good. My doctor gave me until June to get it back in line or she would raise my meds. I was SOOOOO good! In June, the numbers were all back in line. You can do it!!! When I first started cholesterol meds years ago, my total cholesterol was over 400. My doctor asked me how long I wanted to live! Spark people, better choices and some exercise...I am on the lowest dose of Crestor and numbers are good. Don't give up!!!!

You may well be able to find ways to make the foods you know you can eat fun again. I know I've found that while I do love things like ice cream, a protein smoothie made with frozen strawberries and banana is delicious. In fact, figuring out different juice flavors and fruits to try makes it fun to experiment with.

    Remember that a lot of foods like celery contain natural salt and also for your kidneys to function your body does need some so just cut back on the amount and not all of it. out

I have had the kind of stressful like you had and feel for you
