This AM my hubby and I set out for our one mile run. I was totally psyched for it because it had been quite a while since we ran together and I knew I was going to kill this mile! I sure did: 7:51!!! Totally psyched, I yelled "I love myself!" That time totally motivated me to run another mile, into the wind, and much faster: 7:00! Holy cow!
Tomorrow I am going to shoot for three miles:) We shall see how it goes.
I also (yes, I am going to expose a new level of psychotic behavior HANDTE!) rode my stationary bike at midnight. I was totally inspired to do so by MEZZ0ANGEL who was planning to run at midnight. Never thought I would be doing this but it was awesome! I got five miles in under 25 minutes!
I love that I am able to do the level of fitness that I am currently doing. I love pushing myself just a little more to see what else I can do:)
So far for 2011: 9 miles
5 on the bike, 2 running, and 2 walking

I love saving money...counting coins and depositing them into my savings account, cutting coupons, and of course clearance racks!!! Today I saved $110 at Khols and saved 10 bucks on my pups' food! WOHOO!!
Before all my savings, I took my pups for a nice, brisk walk this AM and my hubby and I took them for a walk this afternoon. The plan for today was to get a run in but we weren't sure what our normal route looked like. The streets around us are still pretty icy and snowy so we knew we couldn't run in our neighborhood. Our normal route is the industrial park right behind our house. We leashed up our pups and headed out to see what the conditions were. To our surprise everything was clear!! The trail getting out to the industrial park was the only tricky part and we always walk that because it is not paved. There is no way I will run on anything but asphalt. I don't want to risk an injury by twisting an ankle or worse one of my knees.
We decided tomorrow our goal is to run at least one mile. I have not been running in three weeks (three miles) so I feel this is very doable. My hubby has not been running since the middle of November. So to comprise we will try a mile:)
Tomorrow also starts my 1,000 miles challenge. I am thinking there might also be some midnight bike riding:) We shall see! I totally feel up to it and want to get a jump start on my miles:) My hubby and I were planning to kayak tomorrow since the weather was supposed to be nice, but much to our dismay the water is frozen solid. Bummer! I got boots and gloves just for cold weather kayaking was very much looking forward to using them. Oh well...things will thaw out soon:)
I also got my new planner for 2011 and it's loaded with my work outs, healthy eating ideas, and motivational quotes and phrases! I have 7 races in there already! The first is in February. Let's see how my training goes. This might be the first 5K that I officially run. I have run a few 5k's on my own, but there's just something about making it official:)
2011 is going to rock!!!

In 2011 I will:
*Run at least one 5K...there are six that I have checked out in my area already. I am going to buy a planner and record each date to help with motivation and training. I might even try a 10K and there is a run that I can do with my pups! I love challenges and choices!
*Log at least 1,000 miles running, biking, walking, and kayaking. I think this will easy for me to achieve and may increase my mileage as the year progresses.
*Complete ChaLEAN/Turbo Fire Hybrid schedule. This will serve as my primary work out but I will be running also. The days that it is too windy, rainy or cold to run I will ride my stationary bike (while watching all the reality TV I can handle). I love two-a-day work outs!
*Continue to eat as well as I have been (whole grains, fish, chicken, turkey, tofu, egg whites, beans, lots of fruits and veggies-organic and locally grown when possible, nonfat yogurt and milk, natural nut butter, natural almonds, and no refined sugar). I have also eliminated fried and cream-based foods from my diet.
*Always stay positive! I have done many things this year that I never thought I would be able to do (kayaking, HIIT work outs, running, losing over 50 pounds), and I can't wait to see what 2011 has in store for me because nothing is stopping me!

Yes, I realize the channel does not play music any more, but I did get a great bike ride in while watching "When I was 17" and half of the 2010 VMA. Time just flies while I am watching mindless TV. Some of my other favorites include: The T.O. Show, Jersey Shore, The Hills, Cake Boss, and really any other reality TV.
Today 20 miles!
I am going to do a challenge for 2011 which will include tally my biking, running, walking, and kayaking miles. I am thinking 1,000, but that might be on the low side. My hubby and I easily ride 15 miles on our bikes or kayak 15 miles without too much effort...so I am thinking I will start with 1,000 and see where it goes from there.
Still tossing around other fitness goals before I post that blog and I also want to recap all my progress from 2010!
