Last night I noticed a change

Monday, February 07, 2011

I'm excited. I tried on a dress that was a little tight when I bought it. It was one of those purchases that I thought, I'll lose a bit of weight and it'll be super cute. That was two or three years ago and I've worn it once.

I'm going on vacation at the end of the month and I thought it would be perfect for my trip. It has an Indian style pattern with a halter style top and an empire waist. Cute but comfy, exactly what you want on a resort!

I tried it on and it fits perfectly! I was suprised, actually. Even though I've definitely lost some weight I haven't really noticed a whole lot in my clothes. Things are a little looser, I've gone down one size from my largest and sometimes I'm two sizes smaller.

Yay. :-)

Tea

Monday, January 31, 2011

Okay, so I lost 19 lb last year then sort of went off track (didn't gain anything back though!). I've been doing well since Christmas (down another 8 lb) and part of that help has been drinking copious quantities of tea. Green tea, black tea, rooibos tea mmmm.... Chocolate mint, chai, coconut chai, vanilla, etc. It's all good! I've found that the tea is helping to curb my sweet tooth in the evenings and it's calorie free!

Now for the bad news. I have really white teeth and I've started to notice a little bit of discoloration. I was at my dental hygienist today and I asked her if tea stains teeth really badly. She said it was worse that coffee! Well that just sucks. Now I need to go back to occasional cups of tea rather than an every day sort of thing. Wonder what else I can do to curb that sweet tooth... emoticon

Where on earth did you get Coconut Chai? That sounds amazing. Was it from David's?

Yogi Indian Spice... that sounds Chai-ish. I'm sure I'd love it!

I'll have to check out the lemon... I'll google it and see if it actually works. I know lemon is a natural whitener. I actually heard that you could soak your whites in lemons (obviously hot water plus lemons :-) ) and it would work.

Yummmm - tea!!! Doesn't lemon in the tea help with the stains??!! I'm an evening tea drinker myself - it does help against late nite cravings... :) Mmm try the Yogi India Spice. Congrats on your weight loss... best wishes for continued success!
