Blew my calorie range yesterday. That chocolate chip cookie I added late last night wasn't worth it. Yuck. Oh well.

Tracking well today. Did my power yoga class. The teacher was in pretzel mode today. Both my coworker and I groaned when she had us go into frog. That definitely stretches your groin area but man. It hurts. Also did some splits poses where you balance your front leg straight out in front of you on your arms while in a lunge position. Ouch. Gave it a try anyway. I'm getting better at plow pose. Can actually touch my toes to the floor. Now I have to conquer dead man's pose which is bringing my knees next to my ears on the floor and touching my shins to the floor behind my head. Day 3

Stayed within my calorie range again. Need to work on getting calcium, protein, iron, and fiber up. Started taking a One a Day vitamin so that should help with the iron and calcium.

Today is my tough workout routine. I go to a class called Body Blitz which is weight lifting, abs, and some cardio. It kicks my butt every time I do it. As a coworker always says after that class, "Advil is your friend." haha But it is a good workout. The teacher is very concious of form too so if you're not doing it right, she let's you know.

Edit: Didn't make the class. Work got in the way. I'm going for a walk then going straight to the blood letting.

I also am scheduled to give blood today so need to drink plenty of water.

Busy day!

Back from blood donation. Unable to give blood due to low iron...hmmmm.

I got home last night and as soon as I opened the door, Jake yelled "Chick Fil A!!!" Yep. That's where we had dinner. The school was having a fundraiser there and during the school day the Chick Fil A cow came to visit his classroom. Great. I think I made fairly good choices though so although sodium was high I stayed within my calorie range for the day. Yay!

I'm about to head out to the gym. I keep procrastinating on the gym as I'm bored with my workout routine. Ah well. It must be done.

Back Again!

I came out of the holidays with a 4 pound gain. And holding...

Time to start tracking big time again. We have fallen into a eating out slump lately that we need to nip quick. Monetarily it is expensive and the addition to my weight is not helping either!

Hubby still has no job after 3 years so that weighs on my mind. Luckily he gets unemployment from job attempts but at some point that will run out. He's after me to use all our savings to pay off the house which scares me as he has no job. I'm the sole breadwinner so to speak. He also wants to go on a cruise. We have been doing home improvement projects too. He is a full time student and that will end this semester so then he has to find a job and hopes to continue on getting a masters degree. It is really stressful. What really annoys me is he doesn't help out around the house much. So I get home and it is what's for dinner? Which leads me to eating out cuz I'm too tired to mess with dinner. I'm also sick of our house looking like a tornado swept through it. Every weekend I try to make a dent. I just wish hubby would contribute more.

I think I'm going to try making a chore chart. haha I'll assign jobs to Jake and hubby. Maybe that will do it????

This week I'm planning on taking one day at a time. Get out and walk or work out every day. I already created my food plan for the week. My goal is to stick to it rather than eating out. Wish me luck!

    Crock pot recipes will save you. There are a ton of them in the Spark recipes section. Hubby can keep an eye on it. emoticon

Week 4

Monday, August 23, 2010

Did great until the weekend hit. Then I was pretty much out of control on my eating. Didn't track. It is that time of the month so I always have some sort of binge. this weekend it was salt. Couldn't get enough tortilla chips and salsa! Didn't get much exercise in either. It was so hot. We did get some pool time in yesterday but it was a wading pool more than actual swimming. Oh well.

Back on track this week. Got my elliptical training in today. Jake started kindergarten today as well. He was so excited. I was so panicked. DH didn't have problems until after he dropped him off. But I haven't heard anything from the school yet so that's good! I can't wait to hear how his day went. Tomorrow he has soccer practice and Saturdays soccer games. I get to bring the healthy snacks first! Also, this coming weekend is our turn for the Broncos party which means I have control over the snacks for the game this time. Mwhahaha. Just kidding. But really. emoticon

My goals for this week is keep working on the water and tracking my food.

    Having control is a good thing! I sneek in healthy food to parties all the time and never tell that it is lowfat and sugar free.
