Super cold week. Hubby and son were out of school for the past 2 days due to the weather. I only got 1 snow day. Grumble. haha Oh well. Got my work out on at least.

Made it to the body blitz class yesterday. OMG. I was sucking wind big time. My glutes are a little sore today. And my upper back from all the weight lifting and pushups. The hopping mountain climbers kill me. She added hops to the sides too. Ouch. After awhile I couldn't due the rolling situps to a step up exercise anymore so I just laid on the ground and did an ab work instead. BRUTAL. But I did it! Yeah!

Stayed within my calories but my carbs have gotten a bit out of control lately. Fiber is finally where it should be. Added an Active bar to my meal plan. One a day helps me meet my fiber minimum. I'm having problems getting enough protein though. And now my iron levels are too high. Can't win. If I don't take the One a Day, then my iron is too low but if I do then it is too high. DOH. Gotta find the balance I guess.

Got my organic veggie delivery at work yesterday. Mixed Greens, apples, oranges, baby potatoes, rainbow carrots (yes they are red, orange, yellow, purple colored), and kale.

I looked at the kale and thought what the heck do I make with this? I looked it up online and low and behold...Kale Chips! haha I should make them and bring them to the Superbowl party at my sister's house. LOL

Survived the weekend!

I didn't track over the weekend but I did keep in mind healthy eating. Jake and I shared a brownie at the museum instead of having a brownie each. I did cave and have a long john donut on sunday. But otherwise, I was fairly good.

Super Bowl is next Sunday. Ha! So dodged that bullet for now. Did lots of walking. Worked on organizing the house.

Weighed in this morning and I'm down almost 2 pounds. Yea!

It's Friday!

Yesterday I kept within my range calcium, protein and iron were good now I have to get fiber up there and I'll be set. Forgot that popcorn is fiber. Mmmm.

Today is Step and Pump class. Cardio and weights. I'm determined now.

I'm a little anxious about the weekend though. That's usually when I cave. My sister is having a Superbowl party on Sunday which means non healthy foods. Chips are my downfall. Maybe I'll take my knitting with me to keep my hands busy so I can't stuff myself. haha

I take Jake to his Learn to Skate hockey class tomorrow morning than we hop on light rail to Metro State College to hang posters for a concert coming up. Jake loves lightrail. Anything to do with trains really. Plus light rail goes through the train yard so bonus there.

The concert I'm advertising is for The Decemberists. I've never seen them or heard of them before the record company called me to work the show. But, I'm game to hear new music. Especially for free. ;P It is folk rock which I do like so it should be fun. They give me 2 free tickets so I can take a friend. Nice bonus.

Day 4

Blew my calorie range yesterday. That chocolate chip cookie I added late last night wasn't worth it. Yuck. Oh well.

Tracking well today. Did my power yoga class. The teacher was in pretzel mode today. Both my coworker and I groaned when she had us go into frog. That definitely stretches your groin area but man. It hurts. Also did some splits poses where you balance your front leg straight out in front of you on your arms while in a lunge position. Ouch. Gave it a try anyway. I'm getting better at plow pose. Can actually touch my toes to the floor. Now I have to conquer dead man's pose which is bringing my knees next to my ears on the floor and touching my shins to the floor behind my head. Stayed within my calorie range again. Need to work on getting calcium, protein, iron, and fiber up. Started taking a One a Day vitamin so that should help with the iron and calcium.

Today is my tough workout routine. I go to a class called Body Blitz which is weight lifting, abs, and some cardio. It kicks my butt every time I do it. As a coworker always says after that class, "Advil is your friend." haha But it is a good workout. The teacher is very concious of form too so if you're not doing it right, she let's you know.

Edit: Didn't make the class. Work got in the way. I'm going for a walk then going straight to the blood letting.

I also am scheduled to give blood today so need to drink plenty of water.

Busy day!

Back from blood donation. Unable to give blood due to low iron...hmmmm.
