Well, haven't been tracking my food lately, but have been exercising. Due to being sick for awhile, I fell off the C25k track. Did other exercises instead until I felt better. Now I've been repeating W5D1 to get back on track again. Today I did W5D2. Probably will repeat this one a couple more times before I try the infamous W5D3 (20 min solid running). But, I have noticed my body fat percentage going down and my weight slowly inching lower. I just need to stay away from the chips! LOL

At work, they offer something called Farm Fresh 2 Go. For companies who offer Kaiser health coverage, people can sign up for the Farm Fresh group to deliver fresh produce to you weekly at your workplace. I signed up for it thinking I'd get out of my produce rut. So far so good. I've now tried Fava beans. haha I'm sure there will be others. It forces me to get creative each week using what was delivered that week.

Tracked everything I ate today and went over by 200 calories. But, I was pretty active today.

Things learned:
Ice skating burns a lot more calories than I thought. Looks like I found an alternate fun workout at work. Need to check the public skate times.
I thought Atlanta Bread Company's lightest sandwich was the ABC Special. Wrong. Should of gone for what I was originally thinking-Chicken Salad on sourdough. Or better yet Turkey on nine grain. Jake's favorite restaurant is ABC so we go alot. At least I got the half sandwich so the damage could have been worse. I also shared my fruit salad with Jake.

Today was a crazy day. I could have been better rather than caving for Wendy's for dinner. But I chose the slightly better meal there and chose the small everything. I'm so tired I'm running on fumes now.

Took Jake to see Shrek. Ordered him the kid's movie pack with a HI-C drink and a water for me. When I gave it to him, he told me he wanted a water. So guess who drank the Hi-C? Yup. Me. At least it was a kid's size. I think I drank one glass of water today. NO more of that! I drank more pop today then I have all week!

Tomorrow is going to be just as crazy. I'm up for bringing the soccer team snacks. Since it is the last game, the coach wants to do a BBQ as well. I think I'm going to make a picnic for Jake and I. That way I can control what I'm eating.

My husband is out of town for two weeks so it has been just me all along. I don't know how single parents do it!

Needless to say, I didn't do Day 3 of week 5 C25k. Monday.

  


Step Class

Decided to do a Step and Pump class today to switch up my workout routine. OMG. It's been about a year since I've done this class. I forgot how intense it is. Kicked my butt. Definitely will feel it in my legs tomorrow.

Note to self: Stop snacking an hour before a class like that. I felt sick when doing the jack knifes on the ball.

  I have a Latin step class tonight - first time. Was thinking about ditching it because I've never done it before and it's not until 5:30 and I've already been "out" three times today, and I will exercise tomorrow and......(You get the picture!) And then there is your blog about step. Thanks for the kick in the butt. Have to go get my clothes on!

Couch to 5k: Week 5 Day 2

I did Day 2 today. Wow. I was dying by the end but I did it. The second 8 min were a little easier than the first. I made the mistake of looking forward to Day 3. 20 min running no walking...what? You've got to be kidding me. I'll be doing that on Saturday maybe. I might wait until Monday though to keep to my treadmill program. I've only run outside once on this program and that was in Florida. More oxygen there and few hills. :) I then looked ahead to week 6 day 1. 5 min running 3 min walking 8 min running 5 min walking. What? Why is week 5 day 3 worse than the next week??? Crazy.

If I do it Saturday, I think what I'll do is put Jake on the trike and let him go for it and I'll just run after him. He rides like a bat out of hell on that thing anyway. Molly will get some exercise too. Maybe she can pull me along. ;P Tomorrow is a weights day. I thing I might do a weight/cardio class. Need to work on the abs big time.

    I am starting week 4 day 1 tomorrow and I have looked ahead too. I am dreading the 20 minute run. I know it is going to be tough, no matter how "ready" I am.

Couch to 5K: W5D2

I've been stuck on week 5 due to a lovely cold my son shared with me. So I've been taking it kind of easy before moving on to day 2 of week 5. I repeated day 1 this week as I was feeling better. Day 2 goes up drastically! Day 1 was 5 min running 3 min walking. Day 2 is 8 min running 5 min walking. YIKES. But I CAN do it. And will do it. I may be huffing and puffing by the end of the 8 min but I'll get there. I wish my sinuses would clear up though. I like to breathe through my nose when running but it is harder when it is partially stuffed up. Maybe I should try the Breathe Right strips until its gone.
