Holiday Eating

Monday, December 22, 2014

My cookie splurges have been bad lately. So, I've moved everything out of sight and hopefully out of mind. :) I went grocery shopping yesterday after I set my menu for the week. I know once I get to FL, my eating will be better. My MIL can't have sweet or spicy food and my FIL has to watch his eating because of his heart so that will force the rest of us into eating better. I told my hubby that we need to workout daily as my goal is to not gain during the holidays. It would be nice if I lost but I'll take whatever I can get!

My goal for this week is to get the house looking fantastic so when we come back it won't be to a mess. So I'll be getting in a side work out of running up and down the stairs putting stuff away. ;P

Hopefully making them more inaccessible will work. Alternatively by can portion out a few & incorporate into your meal plan so you can still enjoy but under control.

The hidden silver lining to spending time with in-laws! Enjoy your time together, get in a little workout time, and know when you get home it will look AWESOME!

Well first welcome to my home state. Weather is nice right now. I have also been bad with cookies. My wife always ask me to make them so I make them to keep the peace.

Keeping on target

Monday, December 15, 2014

Well, I survived the weekend without eating too horribly. I was mindful of what I ate which is pretty good. Rather than caving to stress. I didn't get much exercise in though. Too much going through my brain!

    Seems like a good week!
I like to walk to deal with some of the stress. Thinking opportunities.

Today's Challenge

Wednesday, December 03, 2014

Today's challenge is for me to eat on a schedule...I pretty much already do this during the week, but weekends it falls apart. I may try this on the weekends as well. I need to carry stuff in my purse though with being on the go. Perhaps it will keep me from snacking on the bad stuff! I'm also trying to eat a min of 5 fruits/veggies each day. So I'll have a purse full of veggies. haha

emoticon Making a habit of packing a Lunch/Snack Box every evening and picking it up as I leave the house every morning - Even on my Days Off/Weekends - has helped immensely.

You're right - this can be a challenge on those days we don't have a schedule. Good luck on the fruits/veggies. I'm envisioning bananas and apples and carrots sticking out of your purse!

my fav quote

Wednesday, November 26, 2014

It's really a Nike thing but I like the quote Just Do It. It keeps me from waffling on things like exercise or anything really. It is such a simple statement. It gets rid of all mind clutter and gets down to basics. I clear my mind and move. Gotta love the simple stuff in a hectic world!

My longest staying within my calorie range has been 5 days. I'm going to try and beat that. Thanksgiving will be a challenge but I'm going for it.!

You definitely can do it! I always feel like holiday food isn't as good as we make it out to be, so just have a taste of your very favorite things and skip the stuff that is traditional, but not all that great. :)

You can do it. Exercise helps me alot during the holidays. I go and play with all the nieces and nephews. We play fort, hide N Seek, tag, football etc. I have a great time bonding with them and get exercise as well
