FitBit Zip Is the S(n)it!!

Wednesday, January 30, 2013

I got a FitBit Zip for Christmas.

I LOVE the fact that it automatically tracks all my activity AND auto-synchs with SparkPeople. This means I don't have to manually track my activity, and that means I do it more than just once every few months.

Also, I get positive feedback from two different sites - regularly. Who wouldn't love that?

Hey, just spotted your comment, RockyCPA. I think you're the first person I don't know to comment on my blog. Then again, I only post about once every year or two.

Anyway, thanks!

When I exercise, I feel energized.

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

Of course, I don't exercise as often as I should. I've been trying to ride my bike and walk more, but the weather's getting colder, and that makes it hard.

Tomorrow, I'll be digging out the hat, gloves, and bike helmet again for sure!

Struggling, but getting back on track

Thursday, May 22, 2008

I signed up for the Swimsuit Bootcamp Challenge. Did great for the first 3 days, tracking everything I ate, my weight, and all my exercise. I went through some videos more than once, and felt great.

Then, my step-son was in a play, and we went to see it 3 nights in a row. As a result, I got home very late. I am a serious night owl, and even for me, it was too late, and I was too tired to exercise.

I ended up missing 4 days that first week, but got back on the wagon the following Sunday, and started a brand new week without looking back.

I got through Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday of week 2 and, again, felt great. On Wednesday, I had a bad meeting with my boss, went home feeling seriously crummy about myself, and let it throw me into a bit of a tailspin with exercise. I stopped altogether, and also stopped tracking my food.

Monday, I got back on track yet again. Rode my foldable bike to and from the train en route to work, for the first time since the fall. That felt great.

Yesterday, which was Tuesday, it was supposed to rain, so I left my bike at home. However, after a mid-afternoon doctor's appointment with my husband, we went out for a nice dinner, then took a long walk on Newbury Street in Boston, then went to our Square Dancing Club at MIT.

By the time I got home and did the Day 3 Swimsuit Bootcamp video, I had logged almost 14,500 steps on my pedometer. That's about 3 times what I get on a normal day. I was exhausted, but felt great.

Today, I rode my bike from home to the train, and from the train to work. At the end of the day, I rode to the train station, but my husband picked me up at the other end. (We had a party to get to.)

After all that, I did the Day 4 workout today, and am trying to get back to tracking everything again. I am going to push myself to keep this up!

Cheers, everyone!
