Mixed Feeling

Well moving day is getting closer and closer. As each day brings a new briefing for our move to Fort Drum New York I am experiencing mixed feelings. On one hand I am excited about going up north again and seeing the change of seasons. On the other hand I am sad about leaving Kayla here going to college and the friends we are leaving. The one bright note about my mixed feelings is that even though I am moving I still have my friends that I have met here at spark people.
Thank You everyone for the support you always give and the friendship that is truly appreciated.

Getting Anxious

Well 16 days and Kayla graduates from High School. My parents are coming on the 14th thru the 27th for a visit. Her best friend from birth is also flying in the thursday before graduation. My son and his wife and baby(2) are coming in on the Friday before and so is my ex-husband. Boy we are so busy here trying to get the last minute things done and make sure that everything is perfect for when the parents get here. So now instead of eating because I am stressed I go walking. So needless to say I have been doing a lot of walking.
I know that I am going to be exhausted when this is all done.

Graduation

Wow, where did all the years go. It seems like yesterday I was sending Kayla(17) off to her first day of kindergarten and now 25 days until graduation. I know that I am already feeling the seperation anxiety. She has everything already in place for college from her dorm room to getting ready for the freshman orientation. I am really not sure how I am going to handle not seein her everyday. I am so thankful that I have Paige(4) and Peter(2) to keep me focused and not wallowing in self pity. I am soo proud of Kayla.

I felt the same way when my oldest left home. I was glad I had the younger kids to keep me distracted from missing Caitlyn. I adjusted and I'm sure you will, too. Thankful

I am thankful for the friends that I have because they ar encouraging. I know that when I am having a down day they are there to lift me up emotionally. So I say Thank you to everyone that has lent a helping hand. My friends also tell me to keep my chin up because the sun does come out to shine after the rain.

Helping Hand

Have you ever tried to do anything with little ones there to help you? It seems that for every one thing I get done there are two thngs that my little ones get out because they are helping me. For instance, doing the laundry. I had everything ready to start my laundry and next thing I know the little ones had taken all their clothes out of their drawers and mixed them in with the dity clothes. Well the good thing with all of that is a lot of exercise from bending down and picking up piles to changing from the washer to the dryer and then folding to putting away. Oh yes they helped there also. Hope everyone gets a laugh because if you are like me you have all gone thru this at one time or another.
