Frustration

Wednesday, January 27, 2010

Well all you military families will truly understand my frustation. When we first got to Fort Drum we were with G4,then moved to 2nd brigade, then with a different company and now that he is deployed and almost to his base he calls and tells me he is going to a different company. Now I don't know which FRG to contact or if anybody is keeping track of my family. I told him that it sucks and that I just want to make sure the right people know who to contact so I can get the information that I need like where to mail his packages, letters and which FRG group I belong to so I can get the updated information. Sorry if I am venting but I am so frustrated that he keeps getting pulled to so many different companies and now I don't know who I belong to and therefore have no one to contact if there is an emergency. He says I should have the information in a couple of days.
The only good thing is that I am not emotionally eating like I used to when dealing with stress or frustration.
Thank you to all my SPARK FRIENDS.

That would be so frustrating. Do you have anyone there who can advocate for you.

It is OK to vent. We understand. Hang in there and find how who can help you.

Hugs, Sunny

Finally

Wednesday, November 04, 2009

I have finally started back into my routine of my exercise and not just my walking. Thank goodness that all the house is unpacked. This weekend we are going to organize the garage and put things in the attic so we can get to them quickly if needed. The kids are the best. today was raking leaves into piles and all of us jumping into them. I know twice the work but boy the smiles and laughter sure were worth it. Then a great game of soccer. So everyone remember to let our inner child out because boy I bet you will remember all the fun.

Sounds like you are finally getting settled. I know what you are going through as I have been helping my Sister and Dad unpack in their new digs. It is a chore.

When you have some spare time, best get to the BX and get the kids some Snow Boots as they will need them this winter. If you think they love jumping in the leaves, I can't wait to hear about them playing in the snow and building snowmen. They are going to have so much fun.

Take care and Be Blessed! Hugs, Sunny

Unpacking

Monday, November 02, 2009

Boy, moving is such a pain but the unpacking is even worse. So many boxes and trying to get everything to fit in the new house. Then you have the 2 little ones helping you unpack and boy do I mean helping. Oh well such is the life of a military family.
I will be so glad when everything is done and we are settled into our routine again.

You will be in a routine before you know it. Have you had time to explore the area? How do you like your new place? Enjoy the journey, Cheryl.

Finally

Wednesday, October 21, 2009

YEAH!!! We have finally found a house. It will be about 25 minutes from the base but that is okay because the owners are also military and are willing to work with us on things. The other great thing is it has a fenced backyarad for Sam(our beloved lab) and the two little ones. Also the community is small but very friendly. So Sackets Harbor here we come.

Deployment Again

Wednesday, October 14, 2009

Well here we go again. Deployment. We got to Fort Drum New York and have been living in a hotel since the 2nd of October and looks like we will be here until at least the 1st of November. Fun Fun. The only good thing is that my DH won't deploy until the 4th of January so we get at least this holiday season together before he leaves for a year again. I know that being active duty deployment is always there but this will be his 4th one in 5 yrs. It is a good thing that I have such a great support system from family to Sparkpeople friends.

I'm so sorry to hear that he's going again. My brother just got back from Iraq so I understand what you are going through. Just know that he has a lot of men/women looking after him. Please let me know if there's anything that I can do. And tell him thank you.
