Monday, May 04, 2009

I cannot believe that I was actually able to work the ellyptical for a full hour!

I remember when we first got it, I had to push my self to stay on it for 20 mins a t a low level.

I love how this machine is really helping me burn the fat! emoticon

When I exercise I feel

secure ( in knowing that I can accomplish my goal)
ready (to face my day)
fruitful ( I have done something good!)
on track

So why do I create situations in which I don't get enough sleep and therefore feel justified in being too tired to get up and JUST DO IT? emoticon

Time to get back on track!

I finally pulled out the scale again (we are not good friends...) and it turns out that I have gained an additional 5 pounds. 5lbs.!! GRRR! O.K. some, if not all of that better be muscle because my clothes are fitting better and people are starting to ask if I am losing weight...

I know it is O.K. to actually go up because of muscle gain, but it feels awful! emoticon It better start burning fat very soon....

Amiga, si la ropa te queda mejor y la gente te dice que te ves bien, olvidate de la pesa. Definitivamente son los músculos, aunque sé por experiencia propia que eso molesta un montón. Sigue adelante amiga!!! emoticon

Facing the music

Today I have decided to make it public. I changed my ticker and I am announcing it to the world: I had a 9 month set back. Yes, I had valid reasons, but I let go far beyond what I should. Tonight I admit what I have been saying to myself and continue my treck toward change. emoticon

Back in February, I started with lower back pain that got progressively worse until I went to my doctor who then sent me to a physical therapist. Of course, I stopped exercising regularly. Even worse, I went back to eating whatever, whenever.... My PT determined that my pain was due to lack of circulation and very weak core muscles compounded by a bad bed and mattress. She forbade me to do any exercise until my core was stronger. She worked with me and I discovered muscles I had no idea existed. She just handed me over to a personal trainer who has only O.K'd cardio (beside the strength/core training I do with her.)

Well, I did my exercises, improved my posture, got a new bed and mattress and today for the first time in very looong time, I woke up with absolutely no pain! I had forgotten how good that felt! emoticon

So, I now have to re-lose the 10 lbs. I gained in the last nine months before I can continue to my ultimate goal... But it's O.K. the important thing is to get up and keep going. I WILL reach my goal. emoticon
Tomorrow is a new opportunity!

My Precious New SP Friend! I am so proud of you for standing in your truth -- for stating what is so for you. It is in stating your truth that you can forgive yourself and now move on -- and you have -- beautifully -- with courage and strength, class and optimism!! You will do it!!!

That's right girl, tomorrow is a new opportunity, and today is the day, you can do it yesssss si se puede y lo lograras.!!

You go go girl, you have the tools, join us in our weight loss competition battle, in your team Latino's Cafe, our goal is to lose at least 1 lb a week, do what you can do to exercise, when i have no time or when i don't feel like exercising what i do is that standing in front of tv i do leg squats, is easy and it helps my leg get stronger and it helps my circulation, when i'm sitting down i do a few minutes of arm twist and that also helps, just a little bit of effort and our body will reward us.!! I have back problems, i have bulges due to a car accident a few years ago, i always had back pain and lots of shoulders and neck stress, guess what! it was because i need it to change my mattress, and i did, i got a kingsdown mattress and i regret i didn't get it before, i have it for two years and girl i sleep like a queen, no more back pain unless i do some heavy cleanning, now i can sleep on my back, before i couldn't.!!! A good mattress really help.!! Hope you do ok, and plssss plssss plssssss, anything i'm here for you girl. And yessss yesss yessss let's gooo goo gooo go let's start working out to get rid of those extra pounds.!!! Que siiii se puedeeeeeeee.!!!!
