We went to the beach last Thursday for 6 days, we got back on Tuesday. When I got on the scales Wednesday morning I was shocked at the weight I had gained, even with keeping up my running. Obviously my calories-in had exceeded my calories-out. So I immediately regrouped and fixed a healthy breakfast, and lunch to take to work with me. The rest of the week I really focused on eating fruits, veggies, and protein. I also made sure I got all of my runs in.
When I got on the scales yesterday morning I saw that I had lost what I had gained on vacation. I continued to stay focused Sunday with my eating but we went out to a Mexican restaurant for supper. I have been staying away from crackers, bread, and sweets since last Tuesday, but I ate some chips and a tortilla last night.
My small victory was that when we got home I really wanted some of the Ben & Jerry's that was in the freezer but I did not allow myself to continue on that path. I am really proud of myself for not giving in to the temptation to overeat!
After my, um run this morning I fixed me some oatmeal and packed my healthy lunch! I won the battle last night but the war still continues!
