Thanksgiving Eve

It is hard to believe Thanksgiving is already here. Next thing it will be Christmas. TIme sure flies by. My plans for turkey day are very simple this year. My mom has been coming from CT to VA for the last 5 years to spend Thanksgiving with my husband and I but this year she is doing poorly health-wise and can't travel so we will be alone for the holiday. We found a small turkey so there won't be too much left-over. I will make my squash pie made with butternut squash instead of pumpkin. I make it with Splenda so I can enjoy it too. I hope all my Spark friends have a happy holiday!

I fell off the wagon!

I fell off the wagon last night and ate three slices of pizza and then had popcorn! Yikes did I blow my calorie count. Of course today wasn't much better because there was leftover pizza to clean up and I had three pieces for lunch. Now it is gone and I can get back on track. I feel guilty, but I really enjoyed the pizza. I don't eat it every day so I guess it is okay to splurge once in a while. As long as I don't make it a habit. I did walk today and at least I didn't skip my exercise. My blood sugar dropped during the night and my husband had to call 911. I recovered before they came out, but it makes me really tired and I thought it would be a day of sleeping for me. I managed to pull myself together and made it through the day.

    I have trouble with pizza too, it's something I really love eating. I hope you have better luck with your blood sugar, sorry you were so sick!

    Boy I hear you!! I forgot the phrase, "fell off the wagon" but that's exactly what happened to me last night too! I had to get up every few hours to stoke the wood stove cz hubby is hunting, n every time I came downstairs I hit the cookie n candy jars. : ( n that's another thing I've been so bad at these last few weeks, is BUYING the darn stuff!! I was doing so good at passing it up in the grocery store, but lately my motivation n will power is gone. One good thing tho, I did my exercise today too!! And I wrote down every last bad cal. in my tracker. so I had 900 cals just for breakfast! UGH!! boy, talk about a downward spiral!! I gotta get back on track!! it's so scarey to get down here!! I've been reading blogs n post like crazy today to try to find some inspiration!! thanks for your blog. At least I'm not alone. : ) I just ate an apple, now I'll eat some gr. beans. : )

Oh, it's Friday again. I love Friday. Don't know why because I don't work so it is just another day, but there is just something about Friday. Maybe because it signifies the weekend is here and it is time to spend with my husband. Who knows, I just enjoy it. I made myself get up on time today. No sleeping in. I get up at 3 a.m. with my husband to make him breakfast and then find I am sleeping until 10 or 11 and it ruins my day. So, today I set my alarm for 8:45 and feed the cats and had my breakfast by 9:30. Much better timing for me. Now my day can be on more of a schedule. I am trying to look forward to my walk on the treadmill, but it is hard. I just have to do it and get it done!

  


Rainy Tuesday

Oh yuk, it's raining and cold out. What a dreary day. My bedroom was so dark I slept until 11 a.m. I am running late today. That made my breakfast my lunch!!!! At least I got my 8 hours of sleep. Can anyone tell me how to create a profile photo? I have pictures on my spark page but I looked at someone else's spark page and it noted I didn't have a profile photo. I hate sleeping late. It spoils my whole day. Now my exercise will be way behind. It's hard enough to do it without having to do it later in the day. Oh well... so what if I'm late as long as I do it. I'm not punching a clock.

    Maybe you need an alarm clock, so you're not sleeping quite so long. The profile picture, first you upload whatever you want to use. Let me get back to you on what to do next...

Here it is another week starting. At least today I get a break from my exercise. I do feel guilty skipping a day, but I need a day of rest to reset myself for another week. The weather is beautiful, but cold. Brrrrrrrr!!! I feel good and know I am on the right path. I am enjoying the book and find reading the material reinforces what I am doing. I wish everyone had the Spark!!

    I enjoy my breaks from my regular routine and take the opportunity to play games on the Wii. Most of the time I don't have time to work in the game playing! Since the games are exercise of sort, I no longer feel guilty about taking the day off!
