LATE NIGHT THOUGHT!

Wednesday, August 14, 2013

Have you ever thought that GUILT is just a tool the Universe uses to show us right from wrong.

That's it just a tool.

That there's no reason to beat yourself up or turn to self abuse such as overeating, drugs, smoking, drinking to excess to try and drown the guilt....

You don't have to FEEL guilty for feeling guilt.

You just THANK the Universe for showing you right from wrong and

then let the LOVE of the UNIVERSE sooth your soul.

Just a late night thought I had, I experienced and now have a soothed soul :):):)

What a great thought and a great lesson I have learned from it.

I have often felt guilty and held on to the guilty feeling - thinking that I deserved the negative emotion as punishment for doing wrong.

If guilt is only used as a tool to teach me how better to choose going forward, then guilt is a great tool and something that I will be thankful for and learn from.

Thank you so much for sharing!!

That is a great late night thought and so true! Guilt is hard and something we have to deal with but like you said, we don't have to feel guilty for feeling guilt!

There's guilt and then there's toxic guilt. I no longer indulge in toxic guilt and just learn life lessons from the guilt.

I have long believed that guilt is a waste of emotion. In learning that there is no 'right', there is no 'wrong', I have come to accept that AWARENESS simply clears the fog of excess to reveal what works, or does not.

There is no room for guilt in the simple discovery of what works :-).

Love you so, WW! Love your insight!! Keep keepin' it REAL, Baby!

We are Divine beings created by a thought from God/or the Universal Light... anything else that we add to it/us is junk- trash, tarnish...then we hold the junk tight and carry it around with us!
You can set down the trash anytime you want. Ego is our trash...it wants to do the wrongs and then chant about them until you become burden with the load....or you set it down. And release it. -Gurumaa-Ashram (roughly explained by Firestar) She is my light!

I think that I tend to take guilt, a very helpful emotion, and turn it into something it shouldn't be, which is shame. Guilt tells you, you are not on target and need to change. Shame tells you that you are bad, and unworthy. Used properly guilt is a very necessary emotion for our personal morality.

I think guilt is something most of us tend to overindulge in. Like fine chocolate, a bit of guilt is good for you - it allows you to grow as a person. But, also like chocolate, too much guilt is bad for you if you overindulge and wallow in it. What usually works for me, is thinking... what can I do to fix the situation and/or make sure it doesn't happen in the future?

THERE'S NO PLACE LIKE HOME!

Sunday, July 14, 2013

I am home from vacation and I feel like an old lady. I'm not used to so much city walking and long distance driving. It was so good to get home and cuddle with my kitties!!! Annisette my chocolate siamese spurned me at first and then came and kneaded my neck with her claws and slobbered all over my face. I LOVE cats!

Vacation was GREAT! My sister Anne and I went to the zoo and saw the tiny baby elephant Lily. Went to Powell's City of Books which takes up a whole city block. Rode the lightrail. I became infatuated with a frozen yogurt shop where I got about 1/4 c plain yogurt with 2 cups of fresh berries all over it. Raspberries YUM!!!

We had great conveyer belt sushi. Happy hour $1 a plate!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I love raw fish!!!!

Our hotel had a heavenly outdoor pool that was about 78 degrees. I would just fall into a trance every evening floating. AND a rain shower in the room!!!!!!!!!! I want a rain shower!

An hour long reflexology massage for $20 + $10 tip. My Chinese guy spoke no english and his name was Beer! It released a lot of toxins in me. I was even able to breath more deeply. I thought that was a weird side effect but my sister said she felt the same.

We had a great time driving the old neighborhoods of Portland and looking at houses and all the trees. It is really a beautiful city from 30's bungalows to 100 year old mansions. We got to walk the paths of a beautiful private 9 acre garden which overlooked the river. Stunning!

Where we really found the greatest fun was at thrift stores. The books are so cheap and I found several authors I was looking for. I came home with 4 bags of books! And 2 cute pairs of earrings.

Shopped at a great Asian market on the way home. The kind with tanks of live fish and not many labels in english, We were able to get some frozen squid. A great find as we live in a small town with little access to good stuff.

Well, for those of you that asked... there's my FUN Vacation!!! I loved it but am glad to be home!

KITTENS!

Sunday, June 30, 2013

Today is my sister's 44 birthday. Her birthday wish was to rescue some kittens.
We went to the "trailer park of squalor" out in the woods. We rescued 4 beautiful babies from the first trailer and 2 from another one. We were about to take the two tiny girls which were unattended as no person should live the way they were living.
Well we did what we could by taking the 6 kittens.
We have Two Aunties Kitty Commune and only take more kittens as we can afford to. We fix them and give them all of their medicines and flea treatments and keep them on our 5 acres of country forest and fields for their lives. Our houses are filled with more cat beds than you could imagine and they all still want to sleep on my bed.
My two new little girls are Poppy and Lila

Kittens are wonderful children for us as neither of us could have human children.

I'm here...

Sunday, June 30, 2013

Today I have just felt horribly hormonal. I am so thankful for my wonderful Friend Denise who reminded me about those darn hormones.
Perimenopause is suppose to be easier than menopause--- I'm scared
I've just felt like I want to bawl mt eyes out all day for absolutely NO reason.

I'm fine it's just the night sweats and changing clothes and bedding everynight gets old.

If anyone out there has lived through this LET ME KNOW IT'S POSSIBLE!

I know I'm on an experimental hormone plan ( my OBGYN is in the same experiment) and no one knows what to expect.

So tonight I'm going to be a Hormonal Whiner.

If you want the Positive Happy Arlene you'll have to wait for a different day.

Oh the joys of getting old... emoticon

My sister really wants to go to the factory tour for Bob's Red Mill.
Powell's City of Books--largest used and new bookstore in the world.
