Peep Show...(oops)

Tuesday, June 16, 2009

First of all I would like to admit a little prob I have...since I have been losing in./lb's alot of my clothes don't fit as good or at all. Should be exciting, right? Well, I always say to myself "No, I'm not gonna buy more clothes, I'm gonna lose more weight". And, I'll have to buy MORE clothes. So lately I've been wearing comfortable baggy clothes.

Last nite, I went out to Target w/ the fam looking for a lamp for the office. We are in the lamp aisle and my 2yr old son and 6 yr old daughter are goofing around entertaining each other. My husband and I have our backs turned looking at the diff lamps. I hear my son calling "mommi, mommi" and by the 3rd mommi he grabbed the back of my workout pants and yes, a buttcheek is exposed. Of course the lil 2 yr old thinks its hilarious and mommi is red in the face, speechless!

Sorry, Target shoppers.

Who is this lady???

Friday, June 12, 2009

So I usually take step classes on Saturday and Monday, always the same instructor (i feel bad cause i cant remember her name). Well, last nite I decided to try the Thursday nite step class. I gulped down my sugar free Red Bull and was ready (so i thought). Then walks in the instructor for the class and i follow her with my head/eyes and i was like "who's this". I know i sound crazy but i felt like i was in school and the substitute just walked in the door. BUT, she was not the substitute, this was HER class. N/e who, she began the class with usually warm-up moves- I was fine; heart rate up and I was starting to shine. Then she starts getting into the diff step rotations and she starts calling out the moves. It went downhill from there- her moves were just too mind bobbling. And what i mean by that is- after working 8hrs in a hospital your brain shuts down after 5pm....I couldnt keep up, some moves i just stood there and said " i aint doing that". She brought out these papler plates (???) and has us sliding into lundges!?!?! what tha?? The most i got out the class was the stretching in the end....

Well my SP's what do you think- Was it a mind block cause i was so used to my usual instructor and i wasnt feelling this "lady"? Was i not physically ready for this class?? Or Am i just being a pain in the butt???

P.s - One thing i can say is I appreciate my Monday/Saturday instructor more than ever ( I'll get her name)! emoticon

I think it is good to try something new. I would take the fact that I couldn't keep up as a point to keep going to that class until I get it right. New routines are good for your body and weight loss, after about 6 weeks our bodies start to adapt to what we are doing. As much as you like your regular instructor, how about giving this new person one more try.
