Very low calorie day yesterday - slept through breakfast! Slept nine hours last night. Catching up.

Did W2D3 of Couch to 5K last night. Feels good to be on track with this program. I went to the cool runnings site this morning, and read all kinds of articles on beginning running. I think I can say I am on my way to becoming a runner. Yeah!

Going to church soon. Lots of people to pray for this week. What a week in our community.

Wow, a really high calorie day yesterday, because of all the overnight snacks. A better plan may have been in order, but I probably would have snacked on the junk anyways. Talk about lack of sleep having an effect on your diet!

We walked in the "Relay for Life" cancer fundraiser, that started at 7 pm last evening, and went to 7 am this morning. I walked for more than four of the hours - I tried to walk at least half an hour for each hour after 11:00 pm.

So a high calorie in day, but a high calorie out day as well. Hopefully it will all even out without too much damage!

It was a beautiful night, the luminaries stayed lit until we were done, from about 10:30 pm. What a marvelous sight, and a great feeling of hope.

Big day again yesterday for activities.
-I did W2D2 in Couch to 5K.
-I did an hour of gardening (moving white rock around)
-I did my strength training.

I'm a bit sore and stiff this morning. Those bags of rocks are heavy (who would've thought!).

I had a low calorie day, and needed to eat an apple before bed to get up into my range.

I slept for 9 hours last night - played myself right out!!

Went for my jog/walk this morning and it felt great. I kept thinking about it when I first woke up and was lying in bed. It's kind of growing on me!! Still surprises me that I'm doing this.

Calories were good yesterday, and son #1 and I went for a 12 Km bike ride after supper last night. We flushed out a deer along the way, and it ran ahead of us for a little distance. That was cool.

When we got back, I still wanted to be outside, and I still had energy, so I went and raked weeds in the garden.

I like the me I'm becoming.

Another look back to how far I have come. This month I have only lost three pounds, but I have gained so much more. I am confident that I will continue to work with the weights - I love that workout. I have started a "Couch to 5 K" program that will have me running for the first time in my life. I have made some amazing friends through the posting boards. I have learned to use the tape measure as a tool ahead of the scale for success! I throw away less food now because I am better at planning meals and snacks. I have so much more energy and feel so much better. And I have a great garden to look forward to, as it is all planted, and most of it weeded! Thank you again Spark People for a wonderful site.
