Ran 5k this morning and I'm feeling really good about it! Okay, some of that I walked, but I'm still feeling really good about it!

Hockey has started for both boys, and I'm still making *me* a priority. This is the challenge I've been working towards all summer. Can I continue to be healthy once my life gets turned upside down with all the busy activities of fall and winter. So far, so good!

MIL's thanksgiving dinner tonight - looking forward to that.

Bad day for food yesterday for me. Three nights of up later than my usual bedtime put me at making bad choices yesterday. SLEEP IS MY FRIEND.

Friday, the 13th. Is that a lucky day for some?

Hubby asked me why I keep exercising every morning. I told him that I need to do that then, because my days get crazy, and I would never allow myself that time later in the day.

He told me I don't need to exercise every day. I said that I take one day per week off, so he needn't worry.

He says I look good enough, and don't need to lose anymore. I smiled.

Spent the whole day at the lake, but am home right now to go to the wedding dance. Had a great calorie and exercise day, and finished my book, John Stanton's "Running: From Start to Finish". It was really helpful, and I think I'll read it again this week. It's not due back at the library til July 25th.

Had a fantastic bike ride last night, and it's amazing the calories burned for the fun it was! Today it is raining pretty steady, so no outdoor exercises. I brought in lots of lettuce yesterday, so I should be good for my salad at lunch time.

Getting my hair cut tonight, so it's short before we go on holidays to the lake. I'm looking forward to a little pampering!

Good morning. I think July is going by way too fast.

I stepped on the scale this morning, and was up by 0.2 pounds. This is the first "up" weigh-in since May 14th. In my mind, I am losing so slowly, but when I actually look at the numbers, it's amazing. I have had two months without a weight gain. That's got to count for something!

Really, I'm half way to my goal. Some days I have struggled more than others, but I am learning as I go along. Little things add up.

I jogged yesterday at the provincial park. It was 32 C (HOT), on pavement, and carrying a water bottle. This all combined to make me walk more than I wanted to. It was funny, but once I tossed the water bottle, my gait seemed to even out, and it became easier. The setting was beautiful, but I found the pavement hard on my knee. Definitely the treadmill is my way to go ...at least for now.
