I am pretty happy about my day yesterday. I did the big twenty minute run, and didn't even have to stop once. I ate fresh lettuce at lunch, and made a spinach salad for supper, using my garden produce. It just tastes so superior to the stuff I buy at the store. My calories were on the high end though yesterday, as my co-worker (who had the day off), brought in ice cream in bowls with spoons. How does one resist that?? But with all the salad stuff at almost zero calories, ice cream was okay!
Today is clear and sunny, a real treat for us rain-soaked prairie people. I haven't decided yet what I'll do for the day, but will probably start out making some bread and get that out of the way. Hubby has to work today, so won't be doing anything with him.

Happy Friday! I will be doing the 20 minute jog after work today, and looking forward to it. It's funny how you plan your life around major goals. I didn't want to go for a bike ride last night, or this morning because I want my shins/calves to be rested before I start tonight. This morning is perfect conditions for a ride too. Sunny and no wind.
My calories were at the lower range again yesterday. Eating out of the garden sure helps with that, and I feel so full too. My concious effort to add more fruits is working. Two days in a row now I've had four servings. Making sure I add it to the meals really helps.
For cardio yesterday, I walked back and forth to work, and then spent 45 minutes weeding and replanting in the garden. I replanted some beets, radish, dill and more lettuce. That way I still have a fresh young crop later in the season. I enjoy beets much more in the egg size shape, instead of the softball size.

Yesterday, I completed the C25K W5D2. That's two eight minute runs book-ending a walk. I love that fact that I can do this. I also walked back and forth to work, grabbed some yoga time, and spent some time on the stationary bike while hubby watched tv.
I had a tough time eating enough calories though. Now that I'm eating out of the garden, the veggies taste so good. I have to make a concsious effort to add some nuts or seeds to bring up the calories. I am also making it a daily goal to get three servings of fruit over the next two weeks. Yesterday I got four in.

Another successful weigh-in this morning. Down one pound and three inches. Not straddling 180 any more. On my way downtown!
We all went out for supper last night, and used my hockey certificate to pay for it. I had half my veal cutlets, and brought the rest home.
I didn't exercise cardio yesterday, but got my weights in once we came home.

Yesterday's run felt really, really good. If I were to make it no farther, I could do that run three or four times a week. I am actually looking forward to the two eight minute runs tomorrow. This surprises me how much I have been adapting and continueing the Couch to 5 K program. I am starting to recommend it to others when I talk to them.
Went over on the calories last night, with some chips while watching the hockey game with hubby/sons. Still really got to watch that mindless eating in front of the tv.
Garden finally looks done. I have gone through each and every row fine picking for weeds. I have hoe'd around each plant or row at least twice. This is probably the best my garden has ever looked, and I haven't resented one minute of being out there. We are already eating radish, green onions, spinach, and lettuce. It is so worth it!
