Another successful weigh-in this morning. Down one pound and three inches. Not straddling 180 any more. On my way downtown!

We all went out for supper last night, and used my hockey certificate to pay for it. I had half my veal cutlets, and brought the rest home.

I didn't exercise cardio yesterday, but got my weights in once we came home.

Yesterday's run felt really, really good. If I were to make it no farther, I could do that run three or four times a week. I am actually looking forward to the two eight minute runs tomorrow. This surprises me how much I have been adapting and continueing the Couch to 5 K program. I am starting to recommend it to others when I talk to them.

Went over on the calories last night, with some chips while watching the hockey game with hubby/sons. Still really got to watch that mindless eating in front of the tv.

Garden finally looks done. I have gone through each and every row fine picking for weeds. I have hoe'd around each plant or row at least twice. This is probably the best my garden has ever looked, and I haven't resented one minute of being out there. We are already eating radish, green onions, spinach, and lettuce. It is so worth it!

I have noticed that on a day when I drink a cup of coffee, I tend to make bad choices after that. Saturday afternoon, a neighbour called me over to pick up a pie she made for our family. Once there, she had made coffee, so I had a cup with her. After I got home, I had two cookies before supper, pie with whipped cream after supper, and then the cheezies that I was actually very territorial over!

I have noticed this on more than one occasion. Does coffee have an effect on me that I couldn't see before?

How do I decline gracefully, when the cup is already poured and waiting for me?

Happy Father's Day to my dad, my hubby, and my hubby's father!

This morning was a surprise for me. I thought I had blew my cal's yesterday. I made a homemade soup (beef barley), and ate two cups of it. My neighbour made us a pumpkin pie, and I had a sliver of it. I ate two peanut butter cookies while waiting for hubby to come home for supper. While watching the hockey game, I had a handful of cheezies. Several poor choices there, but when I added the ingredients to the tracker, the soup turns out to be only 110 cal's per bowl. So even with all the other "junk", I was within range yesterday. That's a relief, cause I really thought I had gone over. It's so true about the slippery slope though, once you start, you tend to slide. I'll make a better day of choices today.

On the plus side, I finished week four on the Couch to 5K program. I took a look at week five, and the third workout is a twenty minute run. That is such a leap from the 5 and 3 minutes I have been running this week. I am determined to try it though, as I am past the point now of quitting! Many others on the message board sometimes take a week two or three times before they get through them. I'm not scared of trying!

Church this morning --- and we have a relief minister out to take the service. She popped in last week on her way to another relief point service, and she seems very energetic and excited to be doing this ministry. May God bless her journey today.

Pulled weeds for over an hour last night. My thighs were sore this morning, but went out for another hour early before breakfast. It has to be done, and it really counts for cardio.

I had a great day for calories yesterday, and even fit in a scoop of Rolo ice cream. My fibre was down though. It seems to me that unless I eat near the top of my range, one nutrient or another is always off track. I haven't been able to hit that magic potion that keeps it all in balance, and keeps the calorie numbers low.

We were supposed to have our company's golf tournament today, but it was cancelled earlier this week due to to much rain this spring. Too much of the course is under water. So I have a free day with not too much planned.
