2014 GOALS

When I first started Sparkpeople I also started running. That year I ran 493 miles in addition to other forms of exercise. The following I was down to 387 miles due to some IT band issues. This past year (2013) I only ran 262 miles and most of them were in the first half of the year. The last 6 months I have really been slacking. I have gained back 10 pounds of the 30 I had lost. In 2014 I vow to continue on my 80/20 (Eat clean/organic 80% of the time) and to amp up my running and strength training. I am hoping to get back to were I was or better by summer. I am determined ...I know I can do this!!!

Feeling a littl guilty about yesterday's eating binge. Today will be a better day. I also missed my workout yesterday as the whole day did not go as planned. As part of my half marathon training I should have run 5 miles yesterday and 3 today....Looks like I am going to go do 4 miles in a few minutes (as soon as I can force myself) and hopefully another 4 tonight after the kids go to bed. I am just not in the mood to run today.

Well I got a little off course the last two days. Thursday was my rest day and I should have run 4 miles yesterday as party of my half marathon training. However I chose to skip my work out - I just wasn't feeling it. I will run the 4 miles this morning but today should have been my 2nd rest day of the week. I also have a 10k race tomorrow and I really don't like to run a day before a race but it looks like I will have to make an exception this time. I also went a little crazy eating the last two days and I'm not really sure why. I am already back on track this morning. I had two eggs whites with 1/2 oz of cheddar cheese and hot sacue, 1 slice rye bread, 1 bottle of water and coffee.

I just want to wish my mom a very Happy Birthday. I hope you are having a wonderful time in Heaven. It has been almost two and a half years since you left this earth and there isn't a day that goes by when I don't think of you and miss you. I love you so very much and m so thankful that I was able to be your daughter.

Welcome back Zumba

I went to Zumba last night for the first time since May. I can't belive how much I missed it! Don't get me wrong, I love running but what a change. My body loved me for it :) Can't wait until the next class!
