The half marathon is only a couple of weeks away and im stoked! Im REALLY looking forward to it this year mainly because its 'only' the half (how i laugh when i look back at me then!! i remember clearly starting off with my 'im going to walk a full marathon' and embaking on my first 'long distance' walk of 5 miles and coming home and practically crying from exhaustion when i got home)..the full marathon was completed last year by me..and i was proud to get a decent time walking when at the starting line when asked what my goal was ,was to reply "im aiming to finish the same day i started"
This year has been SO much easier once i realised i couldnt commit properly to the full and decided to do the half... .my weight maintaining which im very happy about and i feel So much better. Ive also hooked up with a walking team on yuku and we are going to do it as a group,which again im looking forward to this year as last year i trained and walked the whole year by myself.
Aiming to finish the half in3 hours and 15 minutes max..a doable goal but once again like last year i am not going to beat myself up if i dont get there in that time.
