Monday, December 21, 2009

I'm staying up way too late. I can feel my eyelids closing. I guess this means I should sign off and go to bed. Nite all!

To all my Spark Friends

Saturday, December 19, 2009

Thank you to everyone who has left comments on my blogs and my Spark page. Since my computer died, I've been doing ally Spp
arking on my phone and there are still things I need to learn... Like how to get to other people's Spark pages! I really want to thank you each individually and I can't! Ugh! When my PC is fixed, I'll do better at individual communications.

BTW...Michelle, if I send you my phone, I wouldn't be able to Spark at all and you would miss me! LOL!!

Thanks again for your support and I hope to talk to you each soon.

I find it difficult/slow to Spark by phone. I do check my Spark mails but otherwise wait to get on the computer. Glad you are able to stay in touch though. :) Gotta love the iPhone.

Macintosh, oh did that come out, I was just thinking it and it appeared on the screen. After my last PC crashed in spectacular fashion for the second time I switched that was over 2years ago, should have done it earlier. Just my thoughts, good luck. Jeff

Everything happens for a reason. Or so they say. How long until you think your PC will be up and running again?

BTW - Sarcasm, ME?!

Sleeping in has it's benefits

Saturday, December 19, 2009

I mean besides the obvious. I got some extra sleep, or caught up on my sleep a little (that's the obvious) and got up at 9:30 this morning. Ahhhhh! That felt good. Since it was so late, breakfast was eaten late. So was lunch. Left me lots of calories to play with! LOL! So, even after two cookies, I'm still well within my calorie range for the day! Not a bad way to spend the day. emoticon

Attack of the Trojan virus!

Friday, December 18, 2009

DD was apparently at a site she shouldn't have been and she got the blue screen of death. DH came home and started running the ad-aware program. It has now been 213 minutes. Yap, your math is right...more than 3 1/2 hours of sitting in front of the PC. Yay! (or not).

DD has learned her lesson, tho. She is missing the dance tomorrow, she can't go to her friend's house, and DH has reminded her frequently how long this is taking. Poor kid!

All I can say is it's a good thing I have my I-Phone to Spark with or there'd be heck to pay!! Wish me luck on getting the darn computer running again!

Oh Yes, The Blue Screen of Death. I used to know it well, when my then teenage son was "experimenting" with the computer. Haven't seen it for a long time and don't miss it. Some lessons are harder to learn than others. Good luck!

Oh, and you can get that Blue Screen on okay sites too...I once got one from a scrapbook supply site, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!
And then there was the time I clicked on a knitting link...seemed on that site, they did all their knitting in the some really strange positions, lol.

That stinks! My lil sister did the same thing with my computer when she stayed with me over the summer... only it was a slow acting virus.

Good luck - I hope it's fixed soon!

Mole update

Thursday, December 17, 2009

No, not the spy kind of mole. The plain old ugly brown spot on my arm that got removed kind. I got a card in the mail today telling me that the biopsy showed negative/benign results. Yippee!!!

After telling DH, I asked him if he would remove the stitches for me when it was time. That way, I wouldn't need to go back to the doc and pay another $10. Really, all ya gotta do is cut some string and pull it out of my arm. I'd do it, but it is on the back of my right arm. I can't cut left-handed in the best of circumstances and these ain't!

DH said he'd rather not. He's not good at that "doctor" stuff. emoticon Sissy! LOL! I can say that because eight years ago, on December 23rd!, he fell from a ladder and crushed his left ankle (the height of ladder is growing over the years...I think it was about 10 ft). In the course of getting him healthy, he had five surgeries. After one, he had a hole in his leg that needed packed with sponges daily and a stint (sp?) in his chest so he could get intravenous antibiotics. I'm the one who shot the antibiotics into that little tube! Oh yeah, and he needed shots for awhile (in his stomach) so his blood wouldn't clot. Yep, I gave him those! And he can't cut some string? Oh well! Maybe I'll take his $10 and get someone at work to remove the stitches. LOL! emoticon

YES! I love it when those reports come back Negative. Sometimes negative news is good news! Too bad about your computer virus - the thing in life I get most frustrated about is when my computer stops working. Anxiety central.

Hmmm, if you have some one you trust at work, i'd take the money and run myself, lol.
This from a woman who lets her bald headed (shaved) husband trim her hair to avoid paying for a haircut, lol.

YEAH - so glad the mole is nothing more than a mole!!!!!

I'd tell him that you need $10 for the doctor, then take a co-worker to coffee with the $10 as a thank you for yanking out those darn stitches. Heck I'd do it for you!

Great news on the mole! I fainted when I saw the stitches running through my chin when I was about 8 so I am not a good person to ask! Good luck in finding someone to take them out for you.
