I'm really looking forward to not going anywhere!

It is supposed to snow again tonight/tomorrow. Not much, just enough to make driving crappy (yep, that's the technical term for it!). I don't have any errands I have to run and only three places I need to go. The gym (within walking distance if needed), the library (can renew online) and get the daughter from her friend's house (no way out of that one!).

Since I don't have errands to run, I decided tomorrow is the day to get a BUNCH of stuff done. Here's my list. Wanna place bets on how much I accomplish? LOL!

Gym
Laundry
Make 3 to 4 batches of Chocolate Covered Peanut Butter Balls (Office Christmas party on Tuesday and that is what I bring)
Make lasagna for the freezer - lunches when there are no other leftovers
Make Southwest Sausage Bake - dinner
Library
Sort and deliver Pampered Chef
Finish the last few Chrismas cards
Clean and organize the bathroom drawers and under the sink
Clean under kitchen sink
Read
Start all auction items for DH

And that's just Saturday! My list might be bigger than my abilities! LOL!

    Shoot - it's snowing here, too, and so we cancelled our shopping trip to Twin. Going to Boise Tues/Wed to shop anyway, so one trip in the snow for the week is enough! Your To-Do sounds like mine - if I get half the things accomplished, I feel good about it. Enjoy!

Neat feature in Fitness

I just found out today that you can track your mileage in your fitness tracker. I don't know if it is new, but it is new to me. Very cool! And since I'm on a couple of teams with virtual walks, it makes tracking just that much easier!

Nutrient range, that is. I was in my calorie range, fat range, protein, carbohydrate, fiber, calcium and even sodium! I don't know that I've ever met every single one in a single day! Woo Hoo!! I am on a one-day streak...let's see if I can double it tomorrow! LOL!

What a wuss am I!

I had a mole on the back of my right arm that looked a little off. My DH pointed it out last week and, since I already had an appointment for my thyroid, I showed the doc. He didn't think it was anything to worry about, but better safe than sorry.

Today I had the appointment to get it cut out for biopsy. No big deal, right? A little shot to numb me up. Then a whole bunch of I don't know what cos I could not feel or see what was happening. But I started getting really light-headed and I started sweating and I was really warm. Okay...I didn't complain about being warm, cos that rarely happens. But I did tell the doc that I was getting light headed. He laid the table down and made me go upside down so that my head was below my feet. I felt better fairly quickly, but am feeling light-headed right now, just thinking about it! What a sissy la-la!!! I didn't see any blood. I didn't feel any pain. apparently, my imagination is a little TOO active.

Anyway, follow-up appointment on 12/21 for stitch-removal, biopsy results, and thyroid results (both ultrasound and blood work). Expecting good news on all counts. Will let you know if otherwise!

    I have the problem frequently. I have no problem with other people's blood and pain but not so much if it is my own. Next time when you go into the office remove your socks and shoes. It helps cool the body off and make sure you eat a little before you go. It helps really.

Fingers crossed that it all comes back clean.

  It only happens to me when I have stitches removed! I am an LNA and can deal with most anything. I don't even care about stitches going in - just don't remove them. The technical name is syncopy.

    I'm right there with you. All the women in my family except for me are nurses..not me...I'm the sissy who gets that sweaty you mentioned just thinking about blood, and light headed too...so of course I'm the one who is hypothyroid and has to have blood tests all of the time...mother nature has a funny sense of humor.

  Several years ago I had an ingrown toenail that didn't respond to all the soaking I could manage. I made an appointment with a local podiatrist.

After we'd chatted a bit, including telling him I'm an acupuncturist - how scared could I be of a little toenail procedure, right? I wasn't feeling scared at all, actually. But he puts this syringe in my toe, started to inject the local, and suddenly the doc's calling for his receptionist NOW! I guess I just stopped responding to his conversation and he could tell I was about to pass out.

I actually did pass out completely once at a doctor's appointment. I was having dry needling done on my back, in trigger points. I was sitting up, and I had time to tell the doctor I thought I was going to pass out. Next I knew, I was laying down looking at the ceiling.

So, I guess I'm a wuss, too. I'm glad you're safe at home now, and I'll pray that your rogue mole is innocent.

Falling a little behind...

A few days ago, I wrote the following goals.

By December 6th, I will have lost two pounds (132)
By December 20th, I will be down another two pounds (130)
By January 3rd, I will have maintained (130)
By January 17th, I will have gotten another two pounds off (128)
By January 31st, I will be at my new goal!! (126)

Hmmm...I missed the first goal by two pounds. In other words, I maintained. Which really isn't that bad seeing as how I was over my calorie range EVERY day last week! Yesterday I had a "poor me" day and ate over 3000 calories. Yeah...not heading in the right direction there!

So...back on track today. Didn't go to the gym this morning, but am going to tomorrow. Also plan to shovel the walk before I head out. At least attempt to shovel. It snowed last night so I'm sure most of my driveway and sidewalk are ice patches now instead of just snow. Oh well...more exertion = more calories burned!

New goals...

By December 20th, I will have lost two pounds (132)
By January 3rd, I will be down another two pounds (130)
By January 17th, I will have gotten another two pounds off (128)
By January 31st, I will be at my new goal!! (126)

    It's never too late to make new goals. You had a bad week and went over in your calorie range. Probably not the first time and won't be the last. You can do it! Get back on the bandwagon and stick to those calorie ranges! Treat yourself in other ways besides food. I saw some good suggestions in KERYYMONIQUE's post. They all sound wonderful to me!     It's okay to get a little behind... just regroup and refocus(as you are)!! Next time you have a "poor me" day, spoil yourself, but try doing it without food. Go shopping, watch a movie, take a bubble bath... give yourself the comfort you want without food.
