It has been a really good day. Got up after 10 hours of sleep to see DH off to work. He went to Jackpot with a friend directly after work, so I won't see him until tomorrow afternoon. Jackpot is like a really miniature Las Vegas, without the neon, the showgirls or the shows. Just gambling and about four casinos! (And, no, it's not a good day cos DH is gone! LOL!) After he left, I got the laundry going, made breakfast for me, my son and his friend who had stayed the night. Sat on my butt for awhile and finished my book.
Daughter had spent the night at a friend's and wasn't home yet. Then, son went to a friend's house to play. I have two kids and one husband. If you have done the math, you will realize that I am now ALONE! Woo Hoo!!! I actually did a happy dance as I was closing the door after my son left. I sang too, but be glad you didn't hear that! LOL!
I sparked a little and then headed to the gym for a full hour on the treadmill. I decided that I would run until there was 3.2 miles on the display. I walked for two minutes and then ran the rest. 36 minutes and 10 seconds later, I hit that 5k mark! Woo Hoo!
Came home, showered, and ordered Chinese for dinner. Went to get the girl and the boy and now we're going to rearrange the furniture, vacuum underneath and then put up the tree! (We vacuum after moving the furniture and before putting up the tree every year, whether it needs it or not! LOL!)
Okay, she's done eating. Time to go get busy! Night all!

I had a blast shopping. In line by 4:30. Shopping until noon. Then, off to work for three hours. Now...my Boise State Broncos are kicking some butt on the Nevada Wolfpack (ran the opening kick off back for a touchdown!). Gotta go support!
More details tomorrow.

I usually HATE shopping when there a bunch of people. All those people need to get out of my way and let me shop! LOL!
Tomorrow, I am going out and being part of the mob at o'dark thirty. And I'm looking forward to it! My friend and I are meeting at her house around 4:30 so we can get to Target first thing. We've mapped where we're going, when and what we will get at each store. We plan to shop until at least noon. We would shop later, but I have to go to work (Dang Marketing Department! More on that later! LOL!).
Anyway, we do this every year that we can and it is a blast! We're not rude. We're not pushy. We're not mean. Unless someone else starts it. Then we go into combat mode! LOL!
Happy T-day to all and to all a good night!

Yesterday I blogged about my scale not behaving as expected. Not that I was that worried, just something I noticed. My scale and I meet up this morning and what does it say? Down 0.8 pounds. The 0.4 pounds I was B*$CHING about yesterday are gone and they took some friends with them. LOL! Of course, it was one day and tomorrow is Thanksgiving. They'll be back and bring enough friends for a party!! LOL!
Everyone have a geat Thanksgiving day and practice moderation. That's my plan, anyway!

I have kicked butt the last four or five days. I've worked out every day and been within my calorie range every one of those days. I have not snacked on things that were unplanned. Yay me!
I must admit that I am one of those people who weighs every day, in the morning, once. I'm not obsessed with the number on the scale (okay, maybe a little). I use the number to give myself feedback on how my body is reacting to what I did the day before. If I was low on fiber for a couple of days and then suddenly increase one day, my weight goes up. (I won't go into the details on that one! LOL!) If I drink a lot of water instead of soda, my weight goes down. Simple things like that help my enginerdy mind understand (or think it understands) what's happening to my body.
So, back to my success. I've kicked butt for the last couple of days and have been rewarded on the scale with...drum roll please.....a 0.4 pound weight GAIN!!! I know, I know...normal weight fluctuations. I totally get that. I think what bothers me is that I input the data that I've put in before and I got different results (I usually see a loss when I make this kind of change).
For those of you with analytical minds, you know that if you do x, you get y. Or, if you keep doing what you've always done, you'll keep getting what you always got. Well, I did and I didn't! LOL! I suppose tomorrow will be different and I will see those 0.4 pounds are gone. I hope so. But, if they're not, I'm not letting it derail me. I know I'm making healthy changes and I feel better about myself. I may be obsessed with the scale, but it will not run my life!
