Busy day and more to come

Saturday, May 23, 2009

Typical Friday at work, so that's not the busy part. The busy part came after I got home. We had pizza for dinner (Papa Murphy's take and bake). After we all ate and dinner was put away, the whole family (including the dog) headed to the garage to set up for a yard sale. It was either tomorrow or the middle of June. Decided tomorrow would work best.

We finished setting up the yard sale and then I headed to the 8:45 pm! That's late for me! Post-workout, I'm catching up with my Spark friends, but really I should be making menus and a grocery list. After the garage sale, I need to take my son to a b-day party (after we get a gift!), go to the library and hit at least three, maybe four stores. I don't think I'm going to get it all done!

I will, however get the most important thing done...the library!!

All right. Time to go. Menus are screaming my name, and not in a good way. emoticon

I've been doing PapaJohn's pizza as an excuse, or a date night thing, or just for convenience, but when I figure out the calories, which I do before hand now, I about faint. Won't be too long and I'll put pizza out of my reach or favorites.

Good luck with your garage sale.
I'd make an offer if I thought the garage would travel well.

I did it anyway...

Thursday, May 21, 2009

It was hot as heck in the vehicle on the way home and I was already suffering from too large of a fiber intake, if you know what I mean. emoticon

By the time I got home my stomach hurt and I felt queasy. I started dinner, even tho I didn't want any) and changed into my workout gear. It took a couple of false starts, but I made it to the gym! I even did the entire 40 minutes I had planned on doing on Sunday!! And the bonus is I feel so much better now than I did before the workout!

Yippee for me!!

Yay for me!! Sorta...

Thursday, May 21, 2009

As I was driving up to my daughter's softball game tonight, the softball director walks up to me and says "Heather needs you to be assistant coach tonight. Her assistants are umping." (Heather is the head coach for my daughter's team.) Oh, okay! I think. Then I hustle over and help out.

I coached for the last three years, but they didn't need me this year. No biggie, I've helped in other ways. It is very odd to walk into a team toward the end of the season and coach a bunch of 12 - 14 year old girls. To their credit, they listened and accepted me, so it was all good. And, for the end-of-season tournament, I will be helping again.

So, the YAY for me part is I get to help coach and spend time with my daughter and her friends. The Sorta part is that it is weird to come into the middle of something other people have set up and not jostle the cart! Should be interesting...

Sounds like the PERFECT arrangement to me.
THEY get all the trouble getting things set up and started,
YOU get to come in and play second fiddle.
Pretty darned exciting if you ask me.

Kinda like the maestro tuned the orchestra of youngsters
and has them sounding like the New York Philharmonic.

Just my take on this, hope it satisfies your needs.

Good luck and continued success to you on ALL your endeavors,
this one included!

Dang cold...

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

and this time I mean the bug/virus, not the temperature. I'm blaming DH for me fighting off this dang cold. The extreme temperature changes between outside and inside (sun vs. air conditioning) have compromised my immune system!! He's not buying it either. emoticon

Didn't feel up to going to the gym tonight, but I did take the dog for a 30-minute walk outside. (Duh! Where else would we walk??) So, overall I got in 60 minutes of walking today.

Now, it's time to go read my book and see if the hero smartens up and admits that he loves the heroine! emoticon

We need another computer

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

DH likes to play online poker. I'm fine with that. It doesn't cost anything and he enjoys it. The only thing is that when he is playing poker, I cannot be on the Spark People web site. I have quite the streak going in that I have logged on and spun the wheel every single day since I joined...332 days today. To keep that streak going, I need the computer. When he is on until after 9:00 at night, I don't get my turn until "late".

Okay, okay, 9:00 is not technically late. BUT, when you spend about an hour on the site at a time (and I do), it's getting closer to being late by the time I finish. And, I'm OLD!! At least, I feel old by this time of the night! emoticon

I'd better cut this gripe session short as it's already past 10:00 and I have to get up in just over seven hours, and I need 10 hours of sleep every night! At least I think I do. emoticon

Done complaining. Off to dream land. Later taters! emoticon

When you wake up let me know if you had a dream of spinning the wheel and your DH's head was bouncing on the pegs of the wheel, LOL
If not, maybe you should forward this email to him
That would teach him, snicker, snicker

I'm sure you will figure out how to let him see the light!

Sweet dreams..................

ps, I'll let you know when or IF I learn anything from my Doctor!

Two computers doesn't alway work. My son has his own desk top, but my laptop is faster so he's always on mine. I have to beg to use it.

I'd make your DH buy a $240 mini laptop, as long as you have the money. After all, there are priorities, right? You said you spend an hour here? Is that all? I'm so bad, I'm being a terrible influence.
