Another rainy day...

Thursday, May 07, 2009

Should be the last one this week, though. Because my daughter doesn't have any more games this week!! LOL! At least it was warmer today.

The girls played pretty well tonight. They were hustling, but just not quite making the plays. Oh well. The coaches yelled at them after the game so I didn't do my own yelling. emoticon

Time to start planning the birthday party. What am I going to do with a bunch of 12 and 13-year old girls for two hours? Sounds like Truth or Dare will be played, cake will be eaten and presents will be opened. How do I fill the other 90 minutes? LOL! I'll be searching for some games and if anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them! The weather is supposed to be sunny and close to 70, so I should be able to send them outside for at least part of it. Fingers crossed!

Is it Friday yet?

Wednesday, May 06, 2009

I swear that I thought it was Friday all day today. I would remember that it's Tuesday and be disappointed and go right back to thinking "Friday"! emoticon

Tell you what, that makes for a loooooong week. Oh well, I will survive.

My daughter has another game tomorrow, and yes, it's supposed to rain. Yay! NOT!! emoticon We have snacks (why do 13 and 14 year old girls still need snacks after a sporting event?) and we are taking fruit roll ups and capri sun. I was going to do something extra for her birthday, but didn't. Didn't want to take cupcakes or candy and don't have time to think of something cooler/neater/more better!

I feel your pain. I wish it were Friday too! And it's been raining here for days- urgh. My youngest son had a tee ball game last night that they scheduled at 7. I'm not sure who plans games for 5 year olds but next time they do that I'm going to have them come and wake him up the next morning. We also had to bring a snack- but when you think about it...do you really want your kid to eat a snack at 9 pm on top of being tired?
Anyways...with all this rain I'm going to have to meet up with Jillian later and workout my rain aggressions, lol. I want to try to get through her videos like the other girls that smile behind her. I don't finish the workout looking pretty, I look pretty messy.

Tough or Idiots?

Tuesday, May 05, 2009

My daughter's team had a game scheduled in a town about 30 minutes away tonight. Forecast was for rain. Of course, this time they got it right. It started raining about the same time the game started. We played for about 30 minutes and then noticed that all of the other teams were gone (huge complex, six or so other games going). Did we stop? NO! WE kept playing. And kept playing and kept playing.

We finished the game (and, yes, it's a we because the parents suffered too!). It was a loss, but at least they finished the game playing instead of just quitting. By the time we were done, I was soaked (even with an umbrella) and I could not feel two of the fingers on my right hand.

So, to answer the question, tough or idiots? I'd like to think tough, but I'm not so sure!

    ROTFLMAO

My vote is for:

BR>.
HARD CORE TOUGH

i guess rain is ok, just not if there was any lightening, but all you need is one bolt of lightening for the story to go south

I feel for you,
especially those fingers, numb from holding a wet umbrella

sorry for laughing my stupid head off,
I guess I get the vote on ME being stupid, LOL

have a great day,
because it is one!

One down, one to go

Saturday, May 02, 2009

Got my daughter's clothes all out of her room and sorted. Since her birthday is tomorrow, she didn't want to spend the day working on her room. Imagine that! LOL!

My son and I will get his done tomorrow. He prefers to do chores on Sundays since none of his friends can play on Sunday. Works for me...as long as he actually works tomorrow!

Time to go try on some of my daughter's old clothes. There are some she doesn't like, some that don't fit her. I'll try them on and if they fit (and look good!) I'll have new clothes! Bonus!

A Day Off!

Saturday, May 02, 2009

Tomorrow is Saturday and I don't have anywhere I have to be or anything I have to do at a certain time. Okay, one thing. I am meeting a friend at the local track to walk a few laps at ten. Everything else can be done when I get to it...if I get to it!

I will be picking up my son from his friend's house (sleepover) sometime. Shopping for my daughter's birthday gift (she'll be a teenager on Sunday! Arrghh!! emoticon) I'm not old enough to be the mother of a teenage...okay, I am, but I refuse to act like I am! LOL!

I plan to go to the library, do laundry and work with my kids to get their dresser drawers cleaned out. Yeah, that's it. No concessions, no groceries, no nothing too darn difficult. I'm looking forward to it!
