One of the magazines I read has an article about boosting your metabolism. One of the hints is to eat breakfast WITHIN ONE HOUR of waking. I eat breakfast every day, but it's closer to two or two and a half hours after I get up. I'm going to try to have a piece of string cheese in the morning, within the hour, and see if that helps. I'll try it for a couple of weeks and let you know if I notice a difference.
On a separate note, I went to Baja Fresh for lunch today. I wanted to eat healthy, so I went to their website BEFORE I left for lunch. I started looking only at their lower calorie choices. I thought I could get a Baja Chicken taco and a cup of tortilla soup. Then I noticed that the sodium in the soup (just the soup!!) was more than my daily allowance!!
Holy moly!! I did not get the soup. I ordered two tacos and they came with chips. If I had known I was getting the chips, I would have had one taco. But, since it was there, I ate it all. Still stayed in my calorie range for the day. The best part, though...I was only 63 over on my sodium today. That is one of my better days on sodium intake!
Maybe all these articles I'm reading are starting to sink in! LOL!
