My daughter's team had a game scheduled in a town about 30 minutes away tonight. Forecast was for rain. Of course, this time they got it right. It started raining about the same time the game started. We played for about 30 minutes and then noticed that all of the other teams were gone (huge complex, six or so other games going). Did we stop? NO! WE kept playing. And kept playing and kept playing.
We finished the game (and, yes, it's a we because the parents suffered too!). It was a loss, but at least they finished the game playing instead of just quitting. By the time we were done, I was soaked (even with an umbrella) and I could not feel two of the fingers on my right hand.
So, to answer the question, tough or idiots? I'd like to think tough, but I'm not so sure!

Got my daughter's clothes all out of her room and sorted. Since her birthday is tomorrow, she didn't want to spend the day working on her room. Imagine that! LOL!
My son and I will get his done tomorrow. He prefers to do chores on Sundays since none of his friends can play on Sunday. Works for me...as long as he actually works tomorrow!
Time to go try on some of my daughter's old clothes. There are some she doesn't like, some that don't fit her. I'll try them on and if they fit (and look good!) I'll have new clothes! Bonus!

Tomorrow is Saturday and I don't have anywhere I have to be or anything I have to do at a certain time. Okay, one thing. I am meeting a friend at the local track to walk a few laps at ten. Everything else can be done when I get to it...if I get to it!
I will be picking up my son from his friend's house (sleepover) sometime. Shopping for my daughter's birthday gift (she'll be a teenager on Sunday! Arrghh!! ) I'm not old enough to be the mother of a teenage...okay, I am, but I refuse to act like I am! LOL!
I plan to go to the library, do laundry and work with my kids to get their dresser drawers cleaned out. Yeah, that's it. No concessions, no groceries, no nothing too darn difficult. I'm looking forward to it!

One of the magazines I read has an article about boosting your metabolism. One of the hints is to eat breakfast WITHIN ONE HOUR of waking. I eat breakfast every day, but it's closer to two or two and a half hours after I get up. I'm going to try to have a piece of string cheese in the morning, within the hour, and see if that helps. I'll try it for a couple of weeks and let you know if I notice a difference.
On a separate note, I went to Baja Fresh for lunch today. I wanted to eat healthy, so I went to their website BEFORE I left for lunch. I started looking only at their lower calorie choices. I thought I could get a Baja Chicken taco and a cup of tortilla soup. Then I noticed that the sodium in the soup (just the soup!!) was more than my daily allowance!! Holy moly!! I did not get the soup. I ordered two tacos and they came with chips. If I had known I was getting the chips, I would have had one taco. But, since it was there, I ate it all. Still stayed in my calorie range for the day. The best part, though...I was only 63 over on my sodium today. That is one of my better days on sodium intake! Maybe all these articles I'm reading are starting to sink in! LOL!

Today was a tough day. Very tired, not very busy and really wanted to take a nap. I gave blood and that probably didn't help the tiredness much. Don't get me wrong, I'm glad I gave, but tiredness can be a side effect. (Side note: I got my 4 gallon pin today!)
Because of the blahs all day and giving blood, I used that as an excuse not to work out. AND as an excuse to eat way too many cookies. Now I don't feel good. I think I'll go to bed early and start over tomorrow.
