What an incredibly long week I've had! Not one productive day all week and I now have over 165 unread e-mails. Hope there is nothing important there! To top it off, I had to play the political bull balarkey game with my boss today and could have ruined a work relationship I've worked hard on building (didn't, but could have!). And, ran around in circles trying to find information for someone who already had his answer!

I am SO glad it's Friday and I can deal with home garbage for a couple of days instead of work garbage. Nice bonus, I didn't turn to food this week much. A little, yes, but not like in the past. Wish me luck for the weekend!

Cranky and surprised...

Today was nice and busy, but once again, nothing really accomplished. Left work early so I could come home, make dinner, get the girl ready for her softball game and get her there an hour early. Didn't eat dinner cos I had WAY too much to eat for lunch emoticon and still wasn't hungry.

Got home and within the first five minutes I was home, DH asked me to start a load of laundry. emoticon Hasn't he been home for two or three hours and could have the load almost done already? He swore that he "just remembered" (Whatev!). Even his mom didn't believe that one! So, started laundry. That's the cranky part!

Surprised because I decided that I wanted a DP (that's not the surprising part). I have been cutting way back on DP and haven't had one for a couple of days. I popped open a can and drank some. It didn't really taste very good. I think I've had half the can and I'm going to end up throwing away the rest of it. That's the surprising part. Me? Dumping a DP? I have changed. I don't know me anymore!! LOL! emoticon

Weight was down this morning. A little over on calories. Did get my exercise in, so that went right. MIL and FIL are in town so that will interrupt my schedule for the weekend. I'll make it through, tho! emoticon

What a complete waste of a day! I was in meetings from 8 until 5 with a one hour break (and it wasn't lunch!). At lunch, I had to get permission to share data with a competitor. Then create the presentation to share that data! It goes without saying that I did not taste my food!

The good news is that the meeting with the competitor was very productive. A lot of good information was shared and I think we both have a direction to go that will actually make our products better. The bad news is I didn't get a darn thing done today!

So, question for anyone who might want to answer. How did you decided what your goal weight should be? I decided on 130 because that was my goal when I was doing Weight Watcher's about 5 years ago. I met that goal, felt good at that weight and thought it would be a good weight to get back to. Of course, that was 5 years ago. emoticon I currently bounce between 132 and 135 pretty easily. I'm considering changing my goal to 133 (MET!!) and seeing how that goes.

What does everyone think? Should I continue to strive for that 130 (three more pounds) or say "Good enough!" and move on to maintenance? emoticon

  


First game of the season (and getting back on track)

My daughter played her first game of the season. It was an away game against a team who has played together since they were two...or close that long! Also, my daughter's team is made up of a bunch of younger girls who were brought up to the next level to help fill out the third team. That said, yes, they lost. Unfortunately, for the first couple of innings, they beat themselves. They psyched themselves out and were afraid to swing, clumsy with the ball, stuff like that.

However, the last two innings they actually starting playing, communicating, fielding. They scored two runs so it wasn't a shut out. Very happy with how well they came together at the end. It was, after all, the first game and they will only get better from here.

As for getting back on track, not so much. I did not get up to work out this morning and am okay with that. I don't do mornings. I know that!! For dinner, I did share a medium fry with my daughter, but I chose the Ranch Burger instead of grilled chicken. I have GOT to remember that the Ranch Burger is just not that good!! The chicken would have tasted better and I would have been happier had I chosen that. Oh well. Live and learn!

Time to head to bed so I can be bright-eyed and bushy tailed for the meeting with our competitors tomorrow. It'll be a contest to see who can get more information out of the other without giving up anything! emoticon Should be fun!!

    It is so much more rewarding to see a team come together and play as a team than it is to watch a team play, who has been together forever. Congratulations to your daughter and her team for making a superior effort! Way to go! The first step is realizing that you need to get back on track and you've done that! Good for you. You need to keep at it and you will get back on track! Hang in there and take baby steps. You can do this!
