I always mess up on weekends! I eat too much. I do good on exercise, but I feed my face like there is no tomorrow!! At dinner tonight, I didn't feel good anymore and I asked myself, why are you still eating? And the answer? Cos. I ate some more.
Tomorrow I'll be back on track. Getting up early to exercise, which I HATE!! Not the exercise, the getting up early. But, my daughter's first softball game is tomorrow in a town about 40 minutes away. I'm getting off work an hour early so I can come home, get her and head out. No time to exercise after work like normal. Planning to pick up dinner at a drive through. Our local burger place does have a grilled chicken option, so I'll get that. Maybe fries too, if I have room in my nutrition plan.
Update on my playing softball. The guy who talked to me about it said he still doesn't know if he needs me yet. Maybe this week. Then again, maybe not. The longer he waits and doesn't know, the less likely I think it'll happen. Oh well...
Gonna go read some more and head to bed early. NOT looking forward to this early morning stuff, but will be miserable if I don't work out. I'll have to remind myself of that when the alarm goes off at 4:30!

Not great, but not bad. I ate well all day...until after dinner. I ended up having two extra pieces of garlic bread and some really yummy orange crème alcoholic drink. Feeling it now. Sooo glad I'm heading to bed now.
Better weekend than most, so I'm still hopeful that I won't gain two hundred pounds over two days. LOL!

It is finally the weekend!! I was completely beat all day at work and, unfortunately, I fought back with food. BTW, I didn't win!
I have found that every weekend, I eat too much and undo all the good I did all week. This weekend, my plan is to stay in my calorie range and exercise. I also plan to find other activities (besides eating) to keep me busy.
Just found out that MIL and FIL are definitely coming to town Easter weekend. MIL is very difficult to cook for due to her allergies and celiac. So, I'm taking the easy way out. I'm going to find a place that serves Easter Brunch! And, I will verify that they have gluten-free choices before we go! Of course, I will also have to verify that I have healthy choices as well. But, on that day, that will be my secondary consideration!

Okay, I'm bored with my choices for lunch tomorrow. I take my lunch to work every day for two reasons. One, it's cheaper. Two, it's healthier. Okay, three reasons, we waste less food when we use the leftovers for lunches.
The last couple of dinners have either not had leftovers (i.e. grilled cheese sandwiches) or there is only enough for one person. My son cannot eat school lunches, so he gets first pick on leftovers. That, and I'm a mom, so I'll go without so he doesn't have to.
We do have chili and stew and corn chowder in the freezer. I've had each of those at least once this week and my family does NOT want me to have any more beans for the next couple of days!! LOL!!
I'm tempted to just take some money from my "stash" and treating myself to a lunch out. I don't want to do that for a few reasons. First, it's $$$ and I'm CHEAP! Second, I'm not sure that I'll make the healthy choice (Blimpie's or the Ultimate Bacon Cheeseburger at Jack In The Box!). Third, my company has been hit hard by the recession and they are looking at time cards. If I leave the plant, I've left the plant. If I go to the cafeteria, there is no sign that I left (cos I didn't!). The really high up powers that be will only run the report that shows actual hours. They don't take the time to subtract lunches, so it looks better. Since I'm a salaried employee, the more hours I'm at work, the better. My immediate boss knows my true hours, so I'm not concerned there.
Okay, I just talked myself into taking the stew. I'll add brocolli and be very happy! Or else!!!!

For the longest time, I went to the gym every day (or every work out day, anyway) and did my routine on the elliptical. Sometimes I would go longer, or faster or maybe a little harder during the commercials. But really, not very much variety. Plus, I've always focused on the calories i intake, not so much the other nutrients.
The last couple of weeks, I've started trying different workouts, running, JM's workouts, and elliptical. Plus, I've been trying to pay more attention to the other nutrients, fiber, calcium, sodium, etc. I've even (mostly) given up Diet Pepsi! I've even started adding salads to my dinners. The struggle right now is with my family and getting them to eat more veggies. Working on that!
My current goals are to reach goal weight by 4/8, continue my reduction of DP intake, and restart the Hundred Pushup Challenge. I just added a new goal. To make it through Jillian's Cardio Blast without huffing and puffing like a freight train. I can huff and puff like a passenger train, that's expected! But a freight train is louder and BIGGER!
Still using the eat like a king in the morning, a prince for lunch and a pauper at night. It's helping me not snack after dinner. And running my report at the end of the day is another clue that I'm done eating! LOVE that report!!!
That's it for now. Relaxing time coming up.
