Working on the goals

Did okay on some of my goals, spaced others. Kept forgetting to eat slowly and chew my food. Either I didn't remember until the food was gone, or I remembered half way through. It'll get easier with practice.

Stayed in my calorie range today!! Remembered how I felt after three cookies yesterday and stopped eating!! Wow! It works!

Exercised today and took my daughter with me. Did my second day of the 100-push up challenge. My muscles are still unhappy and tired, but I'm liking it. Tomorrow, DH is going to take "before" pictures of my biceps (flexed, of course!) so I can compare to the after in six weeks.

I'm feeling pretty good. Those 3.6 pounds (okay, 3.8 now) are coming off. Typing is burning hundreds of calories. I can feel it!! emoticon


New Goals

Yesterday, I reset my goals on Spark People, for the third time in three months!! I still have the same 3 - 5 pounds (depending on how much I ate/drank the day before) to lose. So, this time, I have 3.6 pounds to lose by April 1st. Here are my plans for losing the weight for sure this month.

1. Chew my food at every meal at least 15 times per bite and put the fork/utensil down between bites.

2. Stay within my calorie range at least 5 days per week.

3. Remember how I feel right now when cookies start calling my name (I had three chocolate chip cookies after dinner. Way too sweet and I feel a little nauseous right now.)

4. Exercise at least five times a week.

5. Pursue the 100-push up challenge (I WILL be at 100 push ups by 4/1/09)

6. Use my new JM DVD's (when I get them) at least once a week each.

Okay, that should be enough. Too many goals and I'll forget what they are! emoticon

Today was Day One, Week One of the 100 Push-Ups challenge. Since I did the initial test yesterday, I was already sore today. Driving home after the gym was a little more difficult than usual. I'm not looking forward to tomorrow's pain, but in a way I am. I'm tired of having the old lady waddle on my arms and I'm hoping these pushups will help minimize that!

100 Push Ups

Thanks to Zircadia, I am starting the 100-pushups challenge today. I did the initial test and got 18 push ups in before my arms said "Ah hell NO!" I could have sworn I could do 25, but apparently that was someone else. emoticon

I'm going to do my pushups on Sundays, Tuesdays (during Biggest Loser) and Thursday. I will be able to do 100 pushups by April 4th. When I meet that goal, I will be buying myself a set of matching undergarments. Preferably sexy ones rather than sensible ones. emoticon

When the weather cooperates, I'm also going to participate in the President's Fitness Test. I'd like to do the walking/running portion on the local track. The treadmill sets the speed for me and I'd rather be the one setting the speed. I'm hoping mid-March will be a good time for that.

Went to the library today and checked out tons of books. I have four books that I couldn't renew, so need to turn them in next Saturday. Guess that means I'd better get reading!

Presidential's Fitness Test

I've decided that I want to do the Presidential's Fitness Test for adults. There are two different tests, one with walking and one with running. I'd like to think that I can do the running one, but not sure my body can back up my brain. emoticon

Since I'm planning to copy Zircadia and do the 100 push-up challenge too, I should be smokin' hot in one month. emoticon
