Ta DA! I completed the American Heart Associations 1/2 mile Start Walk @ noon today - YIPPEE!!! And, then I also walked home - probably another 3/4 mile.
Plus, I did 33 minutes of my stretching dvd (chair workout) & ate a healthy snack of turkey breast w/ swiss cheese & mustard before I left; took plenty of water & a healthy snack with me (of baby carrots w/ Trader Joe's Thai Peanut dressing & a Mozzarella cheese stick), because I knew I'd be walking when I'm usually eating lunch.
Upon my return, for lunch I had a multigrain tortilla w/ healthy Trader Joe's Refried Black Beans & jalepeno peppers, tomato, onions grilled in a little toasted sesame oil, & lettuce - YUMMO!
So far, its been a very successful day -
