Okay so taking Shannon's advice... today I went to a warehouse sale of lululemon clothes... so perfect for athletic wear!!
I bought myself a pair of workout shorts and knee-length workout pants, both size 8 so they don't fit yet but I figured they would be good motivation for the summer...
and I bought a pair of full length workout pants that fit right now, and they just so happen to be a SIZE 10!!!!!!!!!!! Granted, they do stretch to fit me hehehe but I'm comfortable working out them, I did a great workout in them tonight!
I also got a cute "shade jacket", that also fits me really nicely, it's a size 10 as well, it's in the picture! :)
p.s. never go to a warehouse sale, we waited in line for an hour, I had to cook dave a really good roast dinner to make up for him having to stand around in line for so long!!! haha

I've been wearing clothes that are way too big for me for awhile now. I had no idea it could get this annoying!!! But I'm not going to buy any new clothes until summer, I'm going to just keep layering.
But today at work I accidently left my (too large) workpants at home, so I had to grab someone else's and throw them on.... what size did I fit into??? A TWELVE!!! 12!! For the first time in my life!!!!!! They were tight when sitting down.... but still, a 12!!! I had no idea I could do that yet. I'm looking forward to the summer and buying new clothes, who knows what size I'll be by then, hopefully now at least a comfortable size 12! :)

Last night I went back to the town I grew up in to have a fun night out with the girls that I grew up with - we had a blast!
I felt so THIN all night, it was spectacular. I felt so great about myself. My friend gave me a shirt that didn't fit her well ( it fit me!) and a hat to wear, and my friends said I looked like Avril Lavigne (a singer) wearing it hahaa. I LOVED that compliment, because when you're obese, you don't often get compared to any stars!!
I think it was being in my old environment, in my new body, that made me realize just how far I've come. Unfortunately I saw some people from high school there that have not gone on to further education and had gained over 50lbs themselves since high school...... it just made me very grateful to have a good head on my shoulders, and to be bettering myself. There's no better feeling, then feeling healthy, and having self-confidence!

Well I'm up a pound, but I think I can safely attribute that to my TOM and water retention. Hopefully by the end of it I'll be actually DOWN a pound! I did only get to the gym once this week though, due to schoolwork. On the treadmill I got up to speed 5.0 and ran there for one minute! I can't wait for spring, when I can just throw on my running shoes and go outside!!!!
I have done a lot of walking this week between classes, I'm lucky that my classes are really spread out over campus, so I get a good walk a couple times a day at least.
I'm reading a book right now by Peter Cox called "You Don't Need Meat", and it's unfortunately very convincing!!! I don't have any intentions of giving up meat, but I may cut down on how many times a week I make it.
I've already gone from having fish about once a month, to having fish twice a week, usually a tuna lunch, and a fillet of something dinner, which is very good for you! I also naturally one night a week don't eat meat, dave and I usually will have a big salad I've made, with sesame seeds croutons and avocado to fill us up in it, no meat. I think I might try to up our meatless nights to twice a week. I've been thinking about trying some tofu recipes anyway for awhile now!
For tonight though, I'm going to have a beautiful sirloin steak with a blue cheese topping!!!!!!! mmm mmmmm :)
