Tuesday need to slow down

Tuesday, November 15, 2011

Saturday had a reasonably quiet day around the house I am knitting Christmas tree decorations in the shape of stockings you put a tube od candy in they are about 3" long for my daughters community centre fundraiser. My feet were still aching from Fridays walk
Sunday i thought we were going to Ians head office to say he was available for work from today and then onto Morcambe to look around market We all know what though did.We did eventually call in work via another nature reserve at Leighton moss near the depot spent 5 hours watching and photographing birds mainly ducks we saw deer and a couple of marsh harriers.Called at depot and back home
Monday we went for a walk down the canal near where we live then caught up on last of housework, then Ian decided we had better go to the supermarket to stock up we both hate this chore but knew it would be only time this week
Today iwas my day with JJ Ian came with me and sat and watched tv while i took JJ to buy a new phone a pair of boots at a charity shop and then to the supermarket to do his shopping. The flat was really clean and tidy sorted through his mail then we took him to pick his mum up at the railway station as i had arranged for her to come down and stay a couple of days. But it was like taking tiger out off winnie the pooh he was bouncing like a little kid going to the zoo .
This is the first time JJ and his mother have spent time together for quite a while. Also his son has been in touch and we are building bridges there slowly as they have never met.
Me i have enjoyed all my walks averaging 2.50 mile per day food is below on cals as i forget to eat and i never feel hungry.
Ian is back at work tomorrow at 6.30 so i have a day to myself I hope.then Thurs i will be meeting JJ and his mother for the day before she goes back to scotland on friday. Then JJ is coming over for the weekend if its fine to help tidy the garden for the winter. But things never work to plan .but we will have to see weather permitting.

You have such a wonderful, steady pace. You're always busy but never overwhelmed - or if you are, you never show it. I also forget to eat and come in below my calories but my dietician told me to always eat a minimum of 1200/day. She said if we don't our bodies think we are starving it and will keep every single ounce on our bones!

Friday feeling better

Friday, November 11, 2011

Ian took me on what he called a mystery day out and to wear my trainers. We left about 8am travelled down the motorway,So far down i thought we were going to Southport to look at the birds in the marshes, but he had said there was no shopping, and we passed that junction anyway. Stopped off at service station for loo and he asked if i had guessed by then i only had two other ideas and i shared them with him and one was the right place.Martin Mere wetland trust reserve.
We went in at 9.30 and left at 3.30 which suprised me as we didn't seem to be there that long
We saw quite a few birds i had never seen before black swans. cranes. various ducks and geese I even saw a couple of rats feeding too.
We shared a bowl of soup with a roll as i cannot each a huge amount in one go.Then did another 2 hr walk.Yet my pedometer said we did 2.71 mile in 85mins yet we had walked nearly 6 hrs off and on.A really good relaxing day.We saw asian otters but the beavers didn't show as they only seem to move at dusk.
On monday we had been to Dalton wild animal park a few miles from home and had a good day there.
JJ text to say he had his old phone working again. So he has text a few guys who might spot Nicky or Rob around and to get in touch with me if they see them.
The fresh air has tired me out,so i'm having an hour on here then another early night emoticon to you all
When we got back home Ians parents had finished my houswork and swept all the leaves at the front of the house a couple of jobs less for me tomorrow Ya

What a wonderful day you had. So nice of Ian's parents to have finished the chores and swept the leaves, now today you can relax a bit after the busy day of walking and reflect on yesterday---fun.

a tiring stressful week

Thursday, November 10, 2011

Ian still off work STRESS went to see GP and he has refered him to a urologist app.end off month. hopefully he returns to work next tues.
JJ has had no phone so had to go there three times this week his freezer came today so i stocked it up from mine.He gets his phone back from repair on Fri So he can keep in touch daily with me.
Had letter from the prison service they released Rob but never notified anyone it just happened that my letter arrived after the release and as it contained a cheque which they had to return to me. I rang Portland the drug alcohol support team and they had not been notified either so i have a vunerable guy on the street somewhere and nobody knows where yet. The prison is supposed to notify us on the release of any of our guys so we can get a roof over there head asap.
So i am stressed.
My foot is playing up again so i cannot walk for more than 2 mile comfortably.I haven't lost any weight this week yet i have been really good with my food and exercise.
Tomorrow Ian is taking me out for the day then we will be doing our last big supermarket shop of the year thank goodness.
Bought some more craft bits as i am making calenders for fundraising for homeless groups in cumbria.
But at this given time i am having an early night till next time HUGS to you all

One of those days

Thursday, November 03, 2011

Slept in didnt get up till 9 instead of 5 but did sleep 12hrs. 10 am electric went off maintainance of power lines before winter.Didn't come back on till 3 so ironing etc went out of the window but Managed to get all knitting priced ready for Tracy my DD coming at the weekend if GGS dosent decide to arrive early. She is doing a craft fair in Dec
So didnt get my breakfast till 3 had my lunch at 11
7pm and i havent caught up.
Yesterday spent with JJ he has joined a music therapy group and as he is doing so well settling into flat managing his bills etc i took him and bought him a guitar,he was like a kid with a new toy,I suppose all he was used to for years was abuse living on the street. His flat was clean and tidy even the loo and bath.
Ian still off work though not in as much pain except when peeing
Tomorrow going to flat again and we are taking JJ to get a new fridge/freezer he hates accepting charity but we said he could pay us back weekly ,This is the fith attempt but he will take it from Ian
It will be easier then I can help him cook and fill it up, show him how to make bulk cook batches of soup, curry, chilli etc.Well i'm shattered so am going to have an early night and catch up early in the morning before i go out Hugs to all

Carol, it amazes me that you manage to do so much and do it so well. It sounds like you're with the rest of us Fibro Fighters - a little extra rest right now is a very, very good idea. Sleep well and long!

Miss Carol, it seems to me that you accomplish a great deal--and with chronic pain and health issues to boot! I think your body probably desperately needed that sleep and thank goodness you were able to get it! JJ & Ian and the ironing and everything else will be there tomorrow--take your well-earned rest and began a new day in the morning!

Sleep well & sweet dreams! ((((Hugs)))) emoticon

Tuesday all Dr appointmens done

Tuesday, November 01, 2011

Had Ian to see Dr yesterday after a painful weekend water works problem and infection in boys places.Still in a lot of pain today Dr said he had an infection in the skin of his bits which ,makes it painful to pee no infection higher up so it looks like a job for the hospital eventually.
I have been today for my blood results all were clear just they have added thyroxene as i have been borderline for the last 2 yr and i have to sisters with thyroid problems.
Today i have craved and eaten brocholi and carrots cooked with still a slight bite also a piece of lean ham. Then i decided i fancied veg soup luckily i made a batch the other week and it was in the freezer.I suppose this is better than craving sweet stuff or crisps. For breakfast i had porridge m,ade with water and some canned in own juice peaches So not too bad of a day.I will be glad when it is bedtime as i am shattered.but i still have some knitting to do before then.. Tomorrow it will be another craving but i am lucky its always a fruit or veg at least most of the time A little cheesed of as due to feet problem just scraping 1 mile a day so it will have to be extra time on ex bike
