He is with us A-L-W-A-Y-S

Sunday, April 29, 2012

And lo, I am with you all the days, --- perpetually, uniformly, and on every occasion --- to the [very] close and consummation of the age. Amen --- so let it be.

"There is no place where You're not there; I'll never drift from Your love and care. There's not a thing about me that You don't know. The wings of the morning take me to You. Through blackness of night, Your light will shine through. You're already there, no matter where I may go. Even before I came to be, Your loving eyes were looking at me. You're even closer, much closer than the breath I take. Mother and Father, more than a friend to me, beginning and ending, and living of life to me . . . "

Wow, those words are from a song from way back. They came to my mind totally unbidden when I read your blog. If you had asked me out of the blue, I would have said I don't remember the words. This blog soothed my heart. So glad he is with us always.

Daily Blessings from Proverbs

Daily Blessings from Proverbs

Did you eat your daily bowl of Proverbs today? Man does not live by bread alone. Prescription: eat one bowl (chapter) a day. Here are a few verses that stood out to me; I hope they bless you. Since today is the 28th, these are from the 28th chapter of Proverbs.

6 Better is a poor man who is blameless in his integrity, simplicity, and walks uprightly, than he who who is perverse, crooked, and double-dealing in his ways, though he be rich.

7 He who keeps the law is a discerning, intelligent, wise son with understanding, but a companion of or he who associates with gluttons and wild friends disgraces his father.

13 People who conceal their sins will not prosper, but if they confess them, and forsake, abandon, and turn from them, they will find compassion and receive mercy.

14 Happy and blessed are those who fear to do wrong, because they always fear the LORD and are reverent; but the stubborn who harden their hearts are headed for serious trouble, calamity, disaster, and evil.

16 A ruler who lacks understanding is a cruel oppressor, a tyrannical leader, lacks judgement, and taxes his people heavily. But he who hates ill-gotten, dishonest, and unjust gain -- corruption, and deceit -- will enjoy a long life.

18 Whoever walks in integrity, honestly and blamelessly is kept safe, rescued from harm, redeemed and delivered, but the crooked and he whose double ways are perverse and dishonest will suddenly fall and be destroyed suddenly.

19 Gardening!!
Hard workers, such as whoever tills his land, will have abundant food and plenty of bread. Whoever chases unrealistic dreams, pursues vanity, or follows empty pursuits and idleness, will have plenty of nothing.

20 A trustworthy, steadfast, faithful person abounds in many blessings and is richly blessed, but anyone in a hurry to get rich will not escape punishment.

23 In the end, people appreciate honest criticism far more than flattery.

25 An arrogant, proud, covetous man with a greedy spirit stirs up contention, dissension and strife, but the one who trusts in and relies on the LORD Jehovah will prosper and be enriched, healed, and made fat.

26 He who trusts in his own heart and mind and insight, is a fool because he trusts in himself. But he who walks wisely in integrity is kept safe and will be delivered.

27 Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing and never want, but those who hide their eyes from or close their eyes to the poor, ignores the poor, or despises the entreaty of the poor, will receive many multiplied and increased curses, and suffer indigence.

RICH PROMISES of Proverbs 28, condensed version:
1 the righteous are as bold as a lion.
2 wise and knowledgeable leaders bring stability.
3 those who follow [God's] teachings oppose wicked people.
5 Evil men do not understand justice, but those who seek the LORD understand it fully, and take notice of and know all good things.
10 the blameless will receive a good inheritance.
12 When the righteous triumph, there is great elation; when the godly succeed, everyone is glad
16 he who hates ill-gotten, dishonest, and unjust gain -- corruption, and deceit -- will enjoy a long life.
18 Whoever walks in integrity, honestly and blamelessly is kept safe, rescued from harm, redeemed and delivered,
19 A gardening verse!!!
Hard workers, such as whoever tills his land, will have abundant food and plenty of bread.
20 A trustworthy, steadfast, faithful person abounds in many blessings and is richly blessed,
23 In the end, people appreciate honest criticism far more than flattery.
25 the one who trusts in and relies on the LORD Jehovah will prosper and be enriched, healed, and made fat.
26 He who walks wisely (via God's wisdom) in integrity is kept safe and will be delivered.
27 Whoever gives to the poor will lack nothing and never want.

Love Proverbs even though it steps on my toes. I don't read it every month, but periodically, I do like to read through it, a chapter per day.

This is a rich chapter.

How to Organize Your Garage by Zones

Thursday, April 26, 2012

The family I'm staying with had an empty storage shed in their backyard, that they let me use which I have filled to the max. It desperately needs to be cleaned out and repacked, as I moved in in stages and emptied ministorage in stages and everything is basically everywhere, just crammed in.

Oooooooooohhhhh, how I have been dreading re-organizing it!!!!!!!!!! Understatement of the year.

Just-in-time help: here is this article I got in my In Box today with advice I'd never considered doing this way before. Even though I'm a FlyBaby so I'm familiar with the concept of Zones, I never considered putting the storage shed contents into Zones. I (sort of) had zones in ministorage; a non-professional do-it-yourself effort.

I'm looking forward to using these tips and seeing if I can't improve.

I hope I help one of you, too:

Timely article with many good links. Thanks!

Timely as this seems to be my year for restarting my massive home reorg project that got dropped a while back due to events beyond my control. Now is time to come up with a massive plan and dive in zone by zone and regain control over stuff.

Icky but eventually just must be done.
At least it burns many calories and has you discovering which muscles you've been missing in your workouts emoticon emoticon

Good luck with your own efforts!
