Best calorie count so far. Wanted to eat yogurt at my usual middle of night awakening, but did not do it. Eating in bed is a terrible habit, and I do it while reading to go back to sleep!!!Took advil pm instead.

    When I was growing up I would read and eat, especially barbecue chips. Now they are my downfall and I am not reading and eating but I do crave the chips.

Calories, that is. At least stayed under 2000. Just by a bit!!! Again, on analysis, I see that not eating candy would really have made a difference. Also skipping the beer with dinner.

    It's the extras that sneak in to add calories, especially carbs.

    They tend to add up very quickly. I had to readjust my dinner as I was getting about 200 over my upper limit and nuts and seeds are my downfall and since I had already eaten them for snack the yogurt and blueberries had to stay for another day emoticon . But if you are exercising, the body balances out.
But you are doing well on tracking and that shows you where the calories are coming from.

    I have yet to hit the 1550 mark or under... But I am slowly going down the calorie meter emoticon... Baby steps and you will get there. It is a big accomplishment to stay below what you are used to. Keep up the good work and always remember that emoticon!!!

Starting blog off with calorie number for the day. Analysis: if I had not had the snacks, I would have been under 2000. Also try to eat bread without butter. Really does save a lot of calories. Will try again Wednesday.

Goal is just to stay under 2000.

That is the number of calories I had today.

Since I have not lost any weight with Spark, but I have developed good habits, maybe it is time for a change in routine. Usually I get up, get coffee, go on the computer, do Spark stuff, do other email stuff. Before I know it, it is fairly late. Instead, maybe I should do the spark blog at the END of the day. Like I did today.

Positives for today:
1. Went on walk in morning. Part of new plan. Go for walk before shower, instead of sitting at computer.
2. Weighed and measured all foods. Know that calories are accurate.

Negatives
1. Much of those calories come from three, yes count them three, huge chocolate covered marshmallow cookies at 120 or 130 calories each. To put a good spin on this, I am now totally sick of these comfort food cookies, and will not buy them for at least another year.

    You and me both! Cookies are my big weakness. Last week, I made the mistake of stopping at Aldi on my way home from work when I was hungry. I walked out with my normal groceries and 2 packs of cookies. After eating way more of them than I should have, I put them out for everyone to share and tada, they were gone. Oh so glad. Now, to make sure I don't buy them anymore!
Your plan sounds great! I have had to make a 9-3 computer-free rule so that I don't spend too many sedentary hours in front of the screen. Good luck!

    Measuring and tracking food are two great tools to help understand how much food we actually consume in a day. It is so easy to eat too much of the wrong foods and not realize how many calories were wasted on food that has no nutritional value and if you really took the time to taste it, would probably realize that it really isn't that good :0)

I think your last comment is the key. If we don't buy the foods that are our trigger foods, than we can't be tempted to eat them.
