It is motivating knowing people read each other's blogs. So, thanks everyone!! I am getting married on May 19. It is all very scary, for lots of reasons. It is also rather exciting and fun.
Food report: was starving by 5pm, ate a "healthy snack", trail mix, at 320 calories, but it was not satisfying. When going wedding cake shopping, I found a bakery that had the most delicious hot cross buns, only available at Easter time, so I overdid it, eating two of them. But when something is special like that, it best not to worry!!
I mean, these were really special. The little cross on top was custard, not that goopy icing!!! And the cake itself was studded with the most delicious dried fruits, not those dried raisins. And delicate spices had been mixed into the dough. I never had anything like it!!!

1. Learn exercise tracker. Fiddle with it. Somehow, yesterday came and went and I never even did the blog!!!
2. Stick to the 400 calories for breakfast and 400 for lunch. Try to stay under 1000 for dinner.
1. Email travel agent about cruise details.
2. Order wedding cake.
3. Call church director about details re wedding plans.
4. Find wedding dress.

Goal for today:
1. Learn exercise tracker. I find this very confusing, but the food tracker was hard to get a handle on, too, and now I feel fairly comfortable with it. I really like my exercise ball and I want to put those exercises on it, but it takes forever to find something that corresponds in the Spark list. They are not done in alphabetical order, which would make it easier. I just listened to Coach Nicole's introduction and will just plod away at it every day until I "get" it.
I realize this is not a goal just for today, but if I try every day, maybe in a month I will have figured it out.

I found a few people willing to check my tracker and I am checking theirs. It makes a huge difference for me. Just like the banks, I need to be accountable!!!
Everyone is different. I cannot plan my food ahead of time. Every time I do, it just does not work for me. Either it is too much or I don't like it or something is wrong. I tried using Spark's pre-made diet plan, wow, that really did not work for me. I even bought all the special ingredients for it.
A person has to get back to the tracker slowly. For example, first just track your breakfast for a few days, then do breakfast and lunch for a few more days, and then do the whole enchilada. I think it is crucial to track every calorie even if it comes to 3000, which it can. I also think it good to even track every lemon drop or cough drop you put in your mouth, even though they may be only 6 calories each.
Also, I think it entirely normal to stop tracking for a few days, a week, or even more. But if a person has really established the habit in themselves, they will come back to it.
Also, measuring is crucial. When you go out, you cannot measure, so just eat half of whatever they give you and then go to the list and choose what seems closest in ingredients, but do not stop just because you ate at a party and cannot figure it out accurately. A guess is okay.
The purpose is you are trying to establish the tracking habit. The habit. That is what is most important.

Usually, I blog every day day. I see the last one was March 14, and now it is March 22. I have never had such a long lapse. This is very similar to what happens with the calories. Somehow, life starts happening, and time passes, and your intentions are blown into the winds.
Good news: I finally started walking again. Well with more daylight and with spring, it is easier. But I have lapsed on the strength training, and have to get back into that. And I have lapsed on the nutrition tracking. I found a partner, and we would check each other's tracker, but she got busy and is not doing it, and I just can't seem to do it by myself consistently. I wonder how I could find a nutrition tracking partner on spark? The idea would be to check each others food tracker and make comments every single day. Sure we could miss a day or two, but it would work wonders if I knew someone else was reading my tracker.
