"Error" or "Bug"

Friday, February 03, 2012

When I think it is a computer error, it is actually a user error, my error!!! Yes, the blogs were there----when you click on "someone has commented on your blog", the computer takes you to the one they commented on and you don't see the others.

Now it is true that computers have all these bugs, and I do not get upset like I used to ten years ago, but I just think, "oh its a bug"-- I am proud of this, because some of my friends still get really upset with computers. I finally realize there are some things certain computer programs do and some things they do not do. No reason to tear my hair out.

I am not in goal mood right now, but I will still make a few:

1. Walk two miles. How? When? How to fit this in? I want to finish my sewing project and it is already 7:30 am. Should I start the project now, and then walk to take a break from it? Or should I walk right now, early in the morning, so it will be done?

2. Record all foods in the tracker. Did not do it yesterday. How? When?

3. Work in garden. Finish setting up pots for container plants. Start seeds.

If I get mad at my computer - I just turn it off or walk away from it for about an hour and come back and everything is back to normal!!! (usually) I play some games on FB and many of the people there get upset b/c the game isn't 'working'...well if you just leave and come back it usually works fine by then!! :)) You're right - don't sweat it!!
Hope you achieve your goals!

Love your blog...I am constantly talking to my computer. I have a smart phone, tablet, laptop and the big computer (main?) we use for, I have learned alot but not everything about them all. My biggest pet peeve is "it is sooo slow" lol.

For me, usually best to do the walk first...if possible. I will FEEL better doing everything else after a walk and it will be the thing to get jettisoned (SP?) if I run out of time.

Hope you have a great weekend! The sun is shinning here.

Missing blogs

Thursday, February 02, 2012

Hmm. I did a blog on Tues and Weds and they are not here. Also, I spun the spark wheel for 10 pts and then the message came up that I had done 25 pts and I could spin the bonus wheel. I wonder if there is a bug in spark?

You probably got "bonus" points for being active (25 every 30 days bonus).

As to the blogs...wish they were here. I'd love to read them.

1. Recorded both breakfast and lunch on food tracker. Dinner just seems to be much harder. Goal for today: record dinner ahead of time!!! Maybe that will work.

2. Did half of Coach Nicole 20 minute exercise band routine. Half is better than none. Figured out I can put music in the background with my computer. Goal for today: do entire routine.

3. Went up and down stairs many times to do garden work. Goal for today: put plants in boxes. Start seeds for lettuce and spinach. (good spark foods)

What will today bring?

9:30 am - just did something very different for me. Planned out dinner, and printed it out. Now will I keep to it? Will I measure out the wine? Will I weigh the bread? Will I cut only one Tablespoon of butter? We will see. I have the print out for help.

I like to do my input early in the day if I can. I always plan a snack for late in the day as that is a habit for all my life. If I record early in the day then I can leave room for it. i also find that if I do not plan ahead, I may not get enough protein or fiber. Good luck with your plan! emoticon

Water Disaster

Tuesday, January 31, 2012

Lined up my 4 two cup pretty blue glasses yesterday. Made the mistake of drinking half of it after 5pm. Was UP ALL NIGHT going to bathroom.

Ate within calorie range yesterday, but then blew it with 4 chocolate chip cookies.

Walked one mile.

Good for drinking your water .. sorry about being up all night - that is a bummer. I can never stop at one chocolate chip cookie either- I just can't have then in the house - I am the same thing with icecream-- one serving turns into four before I even realize I am eating it . I still have ice cream as a treat now but tend to go out and have a cone of an dish - then I am not tempted with the rest of the half gallon in the freezer.

you will get back on track emoticon Peggy

Isn't that a treat to hop up and down all night? You get no rest when you are awake every hour.. I am on diuretics twice a day AND have bladder issues, so I feel for you..
eating cukes or radishes will do the same thing,, make you go like a stream!! Guzzle before five!! emoticon emoticon

Water wars

Monday, January 30, 2012

Found this online:

I was told that since coffee is a diuretic that for every 8 oz of coffee you drink you need to drink an additional 4 oz of water. So every 1.0 Coffee = .5 cup water.

Well, you know how even doctors will disagree on the right way to treat a certain ailment. So, who knows what is really the true water thing? I have even found people, real nutrition experts, who say the water thing is a bunch of hooey.

I know for a fact when I drank a lot water at my very harrowing and stressful job of teaching middle school students, I really was less tired. It does have an effect on mood and feelings. I was surprised at how relaxed it made me at the end of the day.

I think it is just good sense to drink a reasonable amount of water.
