Water, water, water, and not a drop to drink

Took advil pm at my usual 3am waking, but now I slept too late!!

Goals for today:

1. Water. Gee, I only did it one day 2 weeks ago, and then totally forgot about it!!!

Goal: 8 cups, which is only 4 glasses, as my tall glasses hold 2 cups each.

How to achieve: I am going to fill them now and line them up in the refrigerator. When I open it up to get something fattening, there will be the H2O, staring me in the face!!!

    water is not a problem for me i just hsve to remember to stop at 8 as i am a water holic

    I also count coffee as "water"........and for water itself, I use Sobe - I cannot do plain water! emoticon vista

    Water has always been a struggle for me. I can drink about 5, but then I don't get the rest in (because of coffee, tea, diet soda, crystal light, etc.)

Never 8 waters...well almost never.

    According to my dietician, any liquid (except alcohol) counts as "water". Coffee counts!

Why I like Coach Nicole

Goals just for today
1. Track food today, try to get back on tracking bandwagon.
2. Do Coach Nicole routine with exercise band.

Was thinking, why do I like Coach Nicole? Much better than any of my other DVDs? It is because she looks like a real person, not a heavily made up, glamor gal in a push up bra telling me to lift this leg and that.

    I like Coach Nicole too. Her workouts can fit anyone, no matter how fit you are. Take it at your own pace. emoticon

Mood

Not in mood to blog, but I read where Jack London disciplined himself to write 1000 words a day. I think it is important to do things even when you are "not in the mood"

I do use my moods for food choices. I can actually be "not in the mood" for chocolate. Sometimes I ask myself, "do I really want this now?"

Yesterday I prepared myself a lunch that was all my favorite foods, and I had eaten half of it. And really, I had had enough, so I stopped. Halfway through, ask yourself, "do I really need to eat any more of this?" Often, the answer is no.

Do what you love

Yes, as far as exercise goes, you simply have to have another reward from doing it. When I was walking, I got a huge reward just from looking at people's gardens, discovering new places, and taking my camera along. With winter upon us, it is so dark, I have not been doing that. But I have been walking to the market later in the day, and the reward is whatever it is I buy!!! and I am saving gas. That is another reward from walking,

I love water too, and water aerobics would be something I would like. Cannot fit it into my lifestyle at the present time. I find Coach Nicole delightful and following along with her is fun for me. I like the feeling of my arms getting stronger.

    Carol , Glad to hear you feel your arms are getting stronger- keep up those work outs with Coach Nichole- I have enjoyed the ones I have done with her also. Walking and looking at gardens is a lot of fun. I like riding my bike to the grocery store in the spring to fall ,I agree,it is a nice feeling to know you are not spending money on gasoline ! This winter in NH has been very short on snow so have not been able to snow shoe or cross country ski which is something I love to do. emoticon Peggy

Exercise Band

I highly recommend this. I started Coach Nicole's seated routine this morning. I could only do the first five minutes, but it is a start. This band is much easier to use than weights. I hope tomorrow morning I can do ten minutes, the next day 15, then finally 20 which would be the entire routine. I like the way she keeps reminding me to hold the abs tight. A person really needs that guidance.

    That's another of those "things" I have to use but don't most of the time. They say do what you like.......and I like the water......so water aerobics it is for me. AND...I made it twice this week!
