I just hate to miss one day of the blog, because I know that could be the start of a slippery slope to non-Sparking. I had trouble sleeping last night, found a big spider in my bed at 2am, and so woke up later than usual. Out of my routine. But, I walked to the museum for my workout, saw a fantastic exhibit, Balacianaga (sp), and even walked back, even though it was up hills. On the way back, an estate sale was going on in one of the big houses on a street a few blocks away, and I was curious about the house. To see these hordes of people going through another's possessions is sobering. There was the old man's stairway lift, just like my mom's. There were all his old books and things. What really got me is they were even selling his immodium and shaving cream. Even a bag of sugar was up for grabs. I tell you, the whole thing really got me thinking. A person's life, summed up in their possessions, and he is gone.... It is going to be so horrible when my mom goes. There is so much junk in her house and the idea of an estate sale is horrendous to me.
