I've been through a lot of chemo myself; it seems like that very first one is the scariest, going into it not to know what to expect as far as side effects. You are in my prayers that it all goes well for you. emoticon

I worked on a cancer unit over 30 years ago as a chaplain. In 2007 I had my own round of chemo. It is amazing how much improvement they have made each year. I trust and pray that your treatment will be successful. Take it one day at a time and you will get through this. emoticon

I would be scared, too! I have never experienced this, but have several friends who had excellent results from chemo, although it was not always comfortable for them. My son is a cancer survivor with surgery, radiation and chemo. He has been cancer free for more than 30 years! Good luck!

Surgery

Friday, June 13, 2014

I had cancer surgery on May 28th. They could not get out the tumor. I will
be starting six months of chemo soon. I first need to heal from the surgery.
I am so so happy to be home. I have a visiting nurse and two types of therapy.

It took me about a year and a half before I regained the same strength. And I did all of the PT that was asked, lifted weights, and kayaked hard.

There is a whole team about recovering from shoulder surgery, in case you're interested... :-)
