Kitchen Cabinets are Done!

Monday, April 26, 2010

I finished the cabinets on 041810. My kitchen looks new. I love it. Now I have to fix my closet. The wall is crumbling from my failed attachment of a metal shelf and the loads of clothes that I had on it, it just fell off the wall and everything with it. I will repair the wall and then add a new and improved shelving for my clothes. Oh yea, I will go through and get rid of all the clothes that I do not wear out and that will help with weight on the shelves.

I did not do any traditional excersises this weekend but I did do a lot of house work kind of exercises. Does that count? Lots of moving, lifting, vaccuming, washing, cooking, etc. I ate too much this weekend though. Made home made pea soup with vegies and ham with home made dinner rolls with lots of fruit, juice and water at the table. I ate too much of the dinner rolls and pats of salted butter. OOPs!

I am back on track now. Back at work and counting my numbers.. staying within. emoticon

Did you know that in the 'Fitness' tab, when you add your cardio, if you go to the 'Browse' tab and check out the 'home exercises' they have stuff like 'heavy cleaning', 'raking leaves' and all kinds of house chores. Check it out! Give yourself credit for all your hard work.

12 days in. . .

Thursday, April 22, 2010

Well it has been 12 days of eating right and doing exercises. Things I have not done in years. I am so glad to be doing this. I can already feel a difference in my movements and the feel of my clothes. They used to be so tight because I refused to go any smaller yet my body was getting bigger. So now I am able to breath better and bend better and relax more comfortably. I have lost a total of 6pounds since 041210. This makes me happy because I see that it is working. I know I have a long way to go and I am ready. emoticon

041510 Blog fix. . .

Thursday, April 15, 2010

I really need to learn to proof read before I post . . . emoticon First I am happy that I have a goal to work on me and my home but I noticed that when I mentioned my children and said that they are not in the way. . .that bothered me. . .my children make me most happy, what I really mean is that they are old enough to tend to themselves and not need me so much to do everything for them. After reading that, I thought to myself that that phrase made sound like my children were a pain in my butt. Just so you know. . .My Children are a blessing to me and nothing else can make me happy like my children do.. I have beautiful daughter age 25 this month and a wonderful son age 22 this year and another beautiful daughter age 18 this year and a wonderful son age 15. I am so thankful for them. My relationships with their father did not turn out but having them was the best thing for me. SO. . . I think I cleared that up :))

So, if you are wanting to do some work on your home and on yourself, to do this really works for both you and your home. I can not believe that I started 041210 at 246pounds and today 041510 I weigh 241. I believe it is keeping my eating with in the numbers that nutrition tracker has for me and the exercise that I have planned for me and the work I am doing on my home, keeping me too busy to feel hungry. I am so excited. I will keep you all posted on my progress. . . . emoticon

041510 What did I do for me and my home today?

Thursday, April 15, 2010

Well, today I eat the right foods and did some easy excesses and for my home I have started to paint my cabinets in the kitchen and add new hardware to them. While I am doing that, I am cleaning them out and getting rid of stuff I never use and clear up some space. It keeps me busy and makes me happy at the outcome. I love building and improving things. I don't know why I didn't think to do this along time ago.

I guess for me it is easier now because my children are grown and not in the way any more. So I am able to do my job and stick to it. By doing a goal for and a goal for my house, I am getting two things done at once. :)) I figure I will do something for me and my home each day and then sit back and think of what this process will show me in the end. We both need work and now is the time to do it. LOL :)) emoticon

Staying Positive. . .All the time. . .

Wednesday, April 14, 2010

I have too. . .If I don't I get depressed. I always think of what I have that is good instead of what I do not have. It really helps. My favorite things are my children. They make me laugh, they make me proud and they make me happy to be a Momma. I love my two grandsons and I love my home and I love my job. I want to go places and meet new people and enjoy my life. I'm in it for the long haul. . . I want to lose over 100 pounds and I have given myself one year to do it. I will stay positive and enjoy my new journey and my new friends here on Spark People. Oh Yah; I have also decided to do something for my home each day and do something for me each day to help improve us. My home needs love too. emoticon
