Day 14 of the 30 Day Push Challenge!!!

I have time on my vacation and am now home,.

One positive thing I did : I made sure ?I did some exercise in the hotel pool before we left for Windsor,

I am grateful for: my wii, my free on demand exercise video, and for my computer all of what help me with my weight loss.
Nutrition -I am home and will start really watching my food tomorrow.

Fitness - 4 day a week of wii fit plus and 3 day of exerbeat . Swap the hotel swimming pool for the wii this week but will do my wii tomorrow
Motivation –today I been motivated and now home with my computer watch what I eat and to exercise at the hotel

Mini Challenge from the blog: what is the part of my part of my body that I am the most self conscious about? I am really not that self conscious of any part of my body .Maybe because of my speech defect and being made fun of it for so long my look never really bother me.
Challenge #2: One person I thought of when I read this part of today's blog is my sister. She is so self conscious of her look that she don’t believe the wonderful person she is.

Four things come not back—the spoken word, the sped arrow, the past life, the neglected opportunity. ~ William Hazlitt.

Awake, arise! the hour is late!
Angels are knocking at thy door!
They are in haste and cannot wait,
And once departed come no more.
~ Henry W. Longfellow

Small opportunities are often the beginning of great enterprises. ~ Demosthenes

Be of good cheer. Do not think of today's failures, but of success that may come to-morrow. You have set yourselves a difficult task, but you will succeed if you persevere; and you will have a joy in overcoming obstacles—a delight in climbing rugged paths which you would perhaps never know if you did not sometimes slip backward, if the road were always smooth and pleasant. Remember, no effort that we make to attain something beautiful is ever lost. ~ Helen Keller.

There are seldom. If ever, any hopeless situations, but there are many people who lose hope in the face of some situations. ~ Zig Ziglar

I'm so fat that...
When I dance I make the band skip.
My cereal bowl comes with a lifeguard.
When I go to the zoo the elephants throw me peanuts.
My graduation picture was a aerial photograph.
My driver's license says picture continued on other side.
When I ran away they had to use all 4 sides of the milk carton.
When I get in an elevator it HAS to go DOWN!
Instead of being born with a silver spoon I was born with a silver shovel in my mouth.
They have to grease the door frames and put a Twinkie on the other side to get me through.
I could become rich and sell shade.
My belly button doesn't have lint -- it has sweaters.
And you think YOU'RE fat?

His idea of exercise is to sit in the tub, pull the plug, and fight the current.
I've been working out every day this week. My TV remote is broken, and getting up out of the chair 50 times a night is really tough.
The first machine the health club put me on was the respirator.
I enjoy long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.
Exercise must be good for you. My wife's tongue has never been sick a day in her life.
My wife was forced to quit her aerobics class because she broke a toe. Unfortunately, it wasn't hers.

I joined an aerobics class for overweight men. We meet in the church basement. Well, actually we were on the first floor when we started last week.
I have a new incentive to do sit-ups. I put M&M's between my toes.
He's into heavy lifting. He carries his lunch to work.
The only exercise he gets is running after the Good Humor truck.

Day 11 and 12 and 13 days of the 30 Day Extreme Push Challenge!!
I am having a great time on my vacation. I am learning to love Michigan and that hard to says as a Clevelander.

One positive thing I did : I swim for extra 15 min when mom and sis left the pool

I am grateful for: my mom and sis and the wonderful vacation WE ARE HAVING
Fitness - 4 day a week of wii fit plus and 3 day of exerbeat . Swap the hotel swimming pool for the wii this week
Motivation –today I been motivated watch what I eat and to exercise at the hotel
MINI-CHALLENGE #6 This blog is going to be about taking hardships or negatives that have happened in your life and looking on the bright side Even the most negative things can be turned into a positive by helping other people who are going through the same problems/making them feel like they are not alone.

These negative things could be anything. Did you get passed up for a job? Fired from one? Get bullied as a kid? Went through depression? Gain weight? Get seriously injured? Even though all these things are painful, we can look on the bright side of everything. At the very least, we can help other people get through similar problems. It's so crazy how we can help change people's lives in ways we never thought possible! There is strength in numbers.
Yep, I got bully as a kid. I was born with a speech defect and that cause all the kids not a just few to call me name and make fun of most of my growing up years. But in fact it still happen today come time. But the bullying make me stronger and I believe it why I blog so much. I believe blogging spill out thought I never could do verbally because people might laugh at me. This in turn help some of my friend on spark because it let them get their feeling out too.
Points to Ponder
• My grandmother started walking five miles a day when she was 60. Now she's 97 years old and we don't know where she is.
• The only reason I would take up exercising is so that I could hear heavy breathing again.
• I joined a health club last year, spent about 400 bucks. Haven't lost a pound. Apparently you have to show up.
• I have to exercise early in the morning before my brain figures out what I'm doing.
• I like long walks, especially when they are taken by people who annoy me.
• I have flabby thighs, but fortunately my stomach covers them.
• If you are going to try cross-country skiing, start with a small country.
• And last but not least: I don't exercise because it makes the ice jump right out of my glass.
Motivational one liner
"I'm not telling you it is going to be easy - I'm telling you it's going to be worth it."
Never give up what you want Most, for what you want at the Moment!!
It took years to get fat, it's going to take some time to get slim
Excersize is like mouthwash, if you can feel the burn it's working"
"Better to let it go to waste than to my waist"
"Nothing tastes as good as being thin feels"

    Love the jokes.

My father started riding an exercise bike when he was 75. He did 5 to 10 miles a day, 5 days a week, and he's 97 now. I'm convinced the exercise helped to keep him healthy and alive.

Day 10 of the 30 Day Extreme Push Challenge!!

One positive thing I did today the descison to exercise tonight even if it only for 15 min well now all I have to do is do it

I am grateful for: The fact that I get to take next week off and will be going to Michigan from this sat. to next Tuesday, I so need this vacation
Nutrition -I am doing the no s diet this mean no second, no sweat and no With no snacking, no seconds, and no sweets, but this week I am also tracking my food Well I am gaining weight this week but I don’t think it from eating too much,.
Fitness - 4 day a week of wii fit plus and 3 day of exerbeat . exerbeast is my new wii game and it is harder then wii fit plus did 40 min of wii fit today I think I need to add a night time workout . I haven’t been working out at night because I been trying to spend time with mom. But as my older and wiser sis told me today just do a 15 min workout it won’t hurt mom. So if I have anytime tonight I will
Motivation –this blog gave me great motivation today I seem to be somewhat motivate even so I gain some weight. I am not giving up just trying to find out why.

Here's a reminder as to what the 5 major things of the CCDM are:
The Carefully Crafted and Diligently Maintained To-Do List
Here are the five essential steps to building the Carefully Crafted and Diligently Maintained To-do List. If you follow these steps your life will change. I promise. But you have to do them all and you have to commit to making it a habit. Ready?

1. Make your to-do list at the same time every day.
Yep do it on the bus every morning

2. Make your to-do list in the same place every day.
yep on the bus

3. Keep your list with you at all times.
yep always in my pocket
4. Add two or three small steps that will move you forward on your list every day.
Yes, I am doing this
5. Think about what you want to achieve in life.
Unfortunately this a time in my life when I am in a holding pattern. I will be losing my job in a few years when the job move to Chicago I can’t go to Chicago I have too many family responsibity. But I can’t look for a job now because I over 26 years with this company I will be getting a great termination package. I know
I will be going to college after I get laid off but really don’t have time to start now.
6. Review and revisit the list.
Everyday I review and modify my list.
Diet Misconceptions
Question: I've heard that cardiovascular exercise can prolong life. Is this true?
Answer: Your heart is only good for so many beats, and that's it. Everything wears out eventually. Speeding up your heart will not make you live longer; that's like saying you can extend the life of your car by driving it faster. Want to live longer? Take a nap.

Question: Is beer or wine bad for me?
Answer: Look, it goes to the earlier point about fruits and vegetables. As we all know, scientists divide everything in the world into three categories: animal, mineral and vegetable. We all know that beer and wine are not animal, and they are not on the periodic table of the elements, so that only leaves one thing, right? My advice: Have a burger and a beer and enjoy your liquid vegetables.

Question: How can I calculate my body/fat ratio?
Answer: Well, if you have a body, and you have body fat, your ratio is one to one. If you have two bodies, your ratio is two to one, etc.

Question: At the gym, a guy asked me to "spot" for him while he did the bench press. What did he mean?
Answer: "Spotting" for someone means that you stand over him while he blows air up your shorts. It's an accepted practice at health clubs; though if you find that it becomes the ONLY reason why you're going in, you probably ought to reevaluate your exercise program.

Question: What are some of the advantages of participating in a regular exercise program?
Answer: Can't think of a single one, sorry. My philosophy is: No Pain = No Pain.

Question: If I stop smoking, will I live longer?
Answer: Nope. Smoking is a sign of individual expression and peace of mind. If you stop, you'll probably stress yourself to death in record time.

Question: Aren't fried foods bad for you?
Answer: You're not listening. Foods are fried these days in vegetable oil. In fact, they're permeated in it. How could getting more vegetables be bad for you?

Question: What's the secret to healthy living?
Answer: Thicker gravy.

Question: Will sit-ups help prevent me from getting a little soft around the middle?
Answer: Definitely not! When you exercise a muscle, it gets bigger. You should only be doing sit-ups if you want a bigger stomach.

Fat Theology
And God populated the earth with broccoli and cauliflower and spinach, green and yellow vegetable of all kinds, so Man and Woman would live long and healthy lives.
And Satan created McDonald's. And McDonald's brought forth the 99-cent double-cheeseburger. And Satan said to Man, "You want fries with that?"
And Man said, "Super size them." And Man gained pounds.
And God created the healthful yogurt, that woman might keep her figure that man found so fair.
And Satan brought forth chocolate. And woman gained pounds.
And God said, "Try my crispy fresh salad."
And Satan brought forth ice cream. And woman gained pounds.
And God said, "I have sent your heart healthy vegetables and olive oil with which to cook them."
And Satan brought forth chicken-fried steak so big it needed its own platter.
And Man gained pounds and his bad cholesterol went through the roof.
And God brought forth running shoes and Man resolved to lose those extra pounds.
And Satan brought forth cable TV with remote control so Man would not have to toil to change channels between ESPN and ESPN2.
And Man gained pounds.
And God said, "You're running up the score, Devil."
And God brought forth the potato, a vegetable naturally low in fat and brimming with nutrition.
And Satan peeled off the healthful skin and sliced the starchy center into chips and deep-fat fried them. And he created sour cream dip also.
And Man clutched his remote control and ate the potato chips swaddled in cholesterol.
And Satan saw and said, "It is good."
And Man went into cardiac arrest.
And God sighed and created quadruple bypass surgery.
And Satan created HMOs.

Day 9 of the 30 Day Extreme Push Challenge!! and very hard blog to write

Day 9 of the 30 Day Extreme Push Challenge!!
One positive thing I did today: is the following blog what was hard to write
one thing I am grateful for: my family including my twin brother who I love

Nutrition -I am doing the no s diet this mean no second, no sweat and no With no snacking, no seconds, and no sweets, but this week I am also tracking my food
Fitness - 4 day a week of wii fit plus and 3 day of exerbeat . exerbeast is my new wii game and it is harder then wii fit plus did 40 min of wii fit today
Motivation –this blog gave me great motivation today
MINI-CHALLENGE #5, Part 2 Description: Today’s challenge is going to be a reflection challenge about competitiveness. In my life, I have seen people with a competitive side that range from VERY extreme (they either are the #1 BEST at everything they do or they are miserable) to VERY little (they don’t really care at all or back off when they sense competition). Sometimes people get SO caught up in competition that they don’t stop and take note of how well they are doing…are you one of those people?

For example: do you have a sister, friend, relative, etc. that you compete with (regardless of whether or not you guys verbally say you’re in a competition)? It is common for twins to compete with one another, siblings that are close to age, or friends who have a lot of things in common (height weight, interests, hobbies, etc.). Really think long and hard about this because it will REALLY help you!

While competition can be a great way to move forward, sometimes it can be harmful. Now, ask yourself this: does the competition in your life do more harm than good? Do you ultimately end up feeling bad about yourself after you compete with a specific person? Do you feel like you’re not good enough because you aren’t as good as someone? Would your life be easier and less stressful if you weren’t so competitive? If competition is a problem for you, what are you going to do to make sure it interferes with your life less?

If you don’t have anyone like that in your life, do you find yourself comparing yourself to celebrities or using celebrities that are unrealistically skinny for your motivation? This can be just as harmful!! Do all the skinny celebrities contribute to a bad body image? Are you consciously aware of what these celebrities have to do to stay at super low weights? Do you remind yourself of this when you start

Okay I love to compete that why I am on so many spark teams but I am not completive. I usually complete with just myself. But there is one person in my life I as always complete with my twin brother. You must understand I am handicapped I have a serve speech defect my twin dose not his speech is perfect. I has work at the same job for 26 years he been a beer vendor for about the same time. He tall and always had been very skinny. I am short and fighting being overweight. WE completet for everything including my mom love. It took me until I was about 48 years old to believe my mom love me as much as him she just as a bad way of showing it. This completion is not good for us I know that. When mom die we will probably go our separate ways what I will find very sad since he is my twin, Also the completion make me feel bad since he doesn’t have as a speech defect, is not overweight and is tall.. I know I am just jealous of him but it does seem like I did get the short end of the stick. But with the help of spark I am working out a lot of this,. I am very proud that I am the one there for mom.
If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you will say to your mountain, "MOVE!" and it WILL move... and NOTHING will be impossible for YOU! - Matthew 17:20

In the Lord, put your trust. - Psalms 11:1

The Lord will guide you always, he will satisfy your needs in a sun-scorched land. You will be like a spring whose waters never fail. - Isaiah 58:11

If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believeth. - Mark 9:23

Thou shall decree a thing and it shall be established unto thee and a light shall shine upon thy ways. - Job 22:28
In some families, 'please' is described as the magic word. In our house, however, it was 'sorry'.
Margaret Laurence

When our relatives are at home, we have to think of all their good points or it would be impossible to endure them.

The first machine the health club put me on was the respirator.
I enjoy long walks, especially when they're taken by people who annoy me.
