Attempted my new goal today of 5,000 steps

However, I didn't make it as I got asthma but going to keep trying. I believe I walked about 1007 steps. I did 100 of them on a treadmill. My son gave me encouragement recently as he believed I could do it. He even thinks I can jog again! LOL! what faith! Let me know if this is your goal too so we can help each other,

  I would love us to help each other with walking. I really hate to walk but it wasn't bad the other day when it was warmer. I managed to walk for 20 minutes. I think my problem also is that I tend to walk too fast and get out of breath.
When I walked the 20 minutes, I did it more like taking a stroll. It was nicer.

    I think the most I ever did was 7000 which was pretty tough to get in. I had to make up places to walk to to do it. This would be a great thing to set up a Spark streak for. Keep on going!

    Hi! We like the same colors!(Sites are similar) I'm watching my steps of late too. Bought a counter (pedometer) and I'm thinking of joining a 10,000 step group. I had my 1st 10,000 step day yesterday! Actually did closer to 11,500. It was amazing! Even on my best days I only managed to get two 8,000 step days! On this day I added another lap on my walk/jog! It pooped me out a little more but I want to get there so I'll do it again tomorrow and see if I can make it to 10,000 again. Keep trying. I know walking is good and will increase your lung capacity. My hubby has respiratory problems (CF and Lung Transplant) and walking was pushed in his therapy treatments and recoveries. Steady does it!
