Day 2/Round 2: WATER FAST

So here we are at Day2/Round 2 of my Water Fast...

PROGRESS:

DOWN: 0.66 Lbs (0.33 kilos) since yesterday...better than nothing...

TOTAL SINCE ROUND1 to NOW: 10.12 Pounds (4.6 Kilos)

Woohoo! So I had a few things today...I had 2 cups tea with some milk and sugar as well as a bite of the chicken I made...a tbsp mashed potato and 3 potatoe medallions...I could not resist! hehe....hope it does not make a diffy tomorrow....

    Yah DAVE is right...anways after this day I went off it...not the right way to do it...maybe one day...yah my clothes fit better...don't know for how long I did not get on scale since this morning....I just want quit this whole battle it is frustrating you know....there are better ways for sure...they just take a long time...I have bad resources here..

    I know you are going to hate me but the reason you do a water fast is to detox NOT NOT NOT to lose weight.

What you are doing right now is basically starving yourself. Your body is not in detox because you are eating and you are not eating enough to nourish yourself so its starving. Its will eventually lower your metabolism because its feels in famine and will not let go of fat stores. This is NOT a healthy way to do this.

Last I will say about it...best of luck with the rest of it.

    Wow you're doing so good MA.
I'm considering a three day waterfast in the March break too as I end up eating a lot more when the kids are home.
Do you eat anything in the evenings or just water and tea etc. for the whole duration?

Day 1/Round 2: WATER FAST

So I did not get on the scale yesterday...I dranks lots of water and was off the fast for 4 days prior to starting again for another week....I hopped on this morning and did I gain? No...

TODAY: I am exactly the same number on the scale to THE decimal point, that I was on the morning of the last day that I fasted! So thats encouraging.

So maybe the day before I just lost what was in my belly at the time. So far so good...hope to see a loss tomorrow morning after Day 2...I am sleeping better....so far...and have energy...I also snacked a little today...I had a few chips...a few bites of frozen yogurt and a cappachino with a little sugar. heheheh I could not resist but hope tomorrow for a more IN CONTROL day...

Can't wait to see...I hope my snacking did not ruin that again hehe...

    Aww thanks :D I was down 0.66 Pounds this morning... 0.33 kg this morning...so slowly but surely....was hopeing for at least 1 pounds but I did cave a few times...not from hunger just yummy stuff...better than nothing...it's ALMOST a pound.

WATER-FAST: Took few days off, back at it...

So I took a few days off...I think 4...I got pink eye...sore throat, lost voice, cough....and then we had a fam bbq etc...so I was enjoying...anyways...

It is the end of the day, I did the fast all day with a few small tastes of my chicken soup, a bit of strawberry sherbert and water of course...a a bit of date...so thats all I did today....

Back at it...hope to weight tomorrow and then get on with this next week of the water fast...hoping to curb the warm sweet creamy drink addiction :D

    It IS going around...my daughter just got pink eye again! I have a bad cough too...I hope today is my only water day but I have to taste the chicken I made hehehehehe soooooo off to make todays post :D Thanks guys...and yah biker I am a sucker for the coffees too and we have Dunkin here too...love it...

    YAY! That's awesome you kept off the weight from the last day you fasted!! Chips get me everytime, that is impressive you managed to limit yourself to just a few!! Hehe

I have a wicked bad headcold and seriously considered starting a water fast today as I can't taste anything anyways...but ended up ordering an XL coffee at Dunkins this morning and it was sadly 300 calories. I just had to try their new "caramel turtle" coffee. YUM, but ouch on the cals!!

    Happily! I weighed this morning and I am exactly the same as the last day I fasted...so maybe I gaiend just what was in my belly, but weighed today and same exact # :D Thats encouraging...I had SOME little bit of goodies so that means what I ate when I was off was fine :D So I hoe I lost tomorrow....I only had a cappachino today with a little sugar and some frozen yogurt and few chips hehehehe

DAY 8: Water Fast (Starting week 2)

I am on day 8, still struggling with the "testing food" but I am still averaging a pound a day...little more of little less....that was what was to be expected.

I am having a VERY hard time sleeping though...very hard time...I think I need to exercise a little bit to release that energy...I will try it today.

------------PROGRESS-------------

SINCE YESTERDAY: I am DOWN 1.1 lbs. (0.5 Kilos)

TOTAL IN 7 DAYS: I am DOWN 9.46 Lbs (4.3 Kilos)

I do have a reward after 10 days...I am will go to the salon for a Moroccan Bath, Pedicure and HotOil/Cream Hair Treatment. Makes your hair so silky and the moroccan bath makes your skin so smooth by removing dead skin in a steam room, someone does it for you...you can visibly seeeeeeeee all the dead skin! Crazy!! Awesome though...so 3 more days!!

    Thanks guys...DAVID did you have a hard time sleeping....I will chk about the tongue thing...Oh yah...abou the heat...well maybe on that day I can have something light before it...I want to go for 2 more weeks making it 3 weeks. Yesterday was sort of a bad day....I cooked one new thing and baked 2 new things...so lemme tell you lots of testings...so my weight in TODAY (day 9) was same as yesterday....same same...no loss since yesterday...mad at myself but mayeb I had to get it all out of my system...its 1:00 and I did all water so far on Day 9 soooo so far so good? hehehehe

    Your doing really well. You should be feeling much cleaner. Check your tongue - if you are cleansing well (which is what a water fast should be about...!) your tongue should be white indicating all parts of your body are starting to cleanse.

Be very careful of the steam room/batch - extreme heat on a water fast can make your light headed or even faint.

DAY 7: Water Fast (1 Week down)

Going into Day 7 and I did cheat a little yesterday too...but I am not cheating with BAD things...like maybe 3 small spoons of frozen yogurt, and some fruit salad maybe 3 bites...and a nibble off a waffle...that's it! But still...I am ruining the "water-fast" idea....this is hindering me I think...oh and I had a large tablespoon of homemade chicken soup...I do have to test food I am making hehee....

But anyways...I really have to smarten up...nothing bad in what I ate yesterday...but not water-fast acceptable is it?

----------PROGRESS---------

SINCE YESTERDAY: I am DOWN 0.88 lbs. (0.4 Kilos)

TOTAL IN 6 DAYS: I am DOWN 8.36 Lbs (3.8 Kilos)

And today I had only water so far...but had about 5 homemade frenchfries...I could not resist... :(

Anyways...I am gonna keep on going...see if I have better strength to stay away from small mini caves!

    I have been doing better on the water...even having perrier or s.pellegrino alone or with a tiny splash of mango nectar...I usually only test the food I cook...so nothing major...I want to get to all water...but maybe this is working out well also as I am usually down a pound a day like I should be or close to a pound....

Hubby is another story...he is off the fast...heheheh....he says he will do the more healthy...eat like a king in the morning...a business man at lunch and a poor man at supper. I am helping him...he is not looking to drop weight so quick...he is not that overweight for his height just has a belly but is not and never was concerned with his weight...he might do the sporadic fastings...he just goes to many business lunches here and the culture here is very social over tea and coffee and lunch...it's hard for himto sit there and drink water...but he's been having lots of salad and greens and limiting rice....

    Just a thought for you as I know you are trying really hard to get to just water on your water fast...Do you think if you set up a reward system for yourself you would be able to stick to your water fast just being water?

How is your hubby doing on the fast?

    the fast is NOT for a religious reason...in my religion Islam the fasting os only from sunrise to sunset and you must break the fast at sundown...only specific time but u can anytime. Anyways it is not for religion. If it was religion even water is prohibited in the fast but must be drank after sundown...

Muscle is only burned after lonnnng periods of this...mine is a short one to reset my mind and body...and I am ONLY eating because of the craving not because I am hungry. Like for instance making brownies etc...I am past the hungry hungry stage...only hits me if there is some sweet things...I should and will try to realllly try hard to only water tomorrow.

No one worry about me...I am having no symptoms and I am not rapidly losing...I wish I was but I am not. And I love food...I know how to eat healthy and I know how to exercise. Look at my past logs and you will see...or my past losings....all in my sparkpage and you will see...

I put this weight onb very recently and I want it off fast...I got into a slump...I can't lose a pound a week...yes it's a lot and great to lose but It makes me feel like giving up...just a boost...you have to read about the fast to actually see the benefits! It really IS good for you....I posted one link in the first day and maybe 2nd...soem others posted as well...

Hope I am down another pound tomorrow...at least...I know when to stop this and it is not long term...I love healthy food...then I have to wean myself off it easily so I don't gain too quick...then be on my exercise routine...I did something similar in the past...was fine!

    The amount you are eating seems to be decreasing each day though, so that is getting you closer to your goal of straight water on your "water fast".

When you do sneak in a bite here and there, are you eating because you are hungry or because the food is right in front of you & convenient? Maybe try picking up a new hobby or something to occupy your mouth/hands when you do get the cravings?

    Please eat healthy food, if you have the possiblity get into a gym and firm up your already wonderful curves, as we get older if we don't train them they go to ground and fast- half starving ourselfs doesn't help it adds to the damage of not giving them enough nutrition.. Ketose is a horrible way to loss weight it can hurt our liver if we burn off too much muscle protein without fueling enough food to the body..
You have to learn to be at one with food- no one can live this way for any long period of time.. If for religious reason- plan good meals for efter sundown..
