I refuse to get excited!!!...haha

Thursday, February 27, 2014

In 2 days we will be heading to Houston for a several billion dollar job (that's the contractors bid not our paycheck....bummer...LOL) that could just possibly put us through retirement!!!! WooHoo!!! I am so excited. I don't even care if I get everything in the camper that we will need.....worst case scenario is I have to go shopping.....oh, bummer....LOL

I will be doing the driving of the little truck this time....yeah! Hubby gets the big rig....and the cats....LOLOL

I love new adventures and this one will be adding another large city to my repetoire...I've lived in LA, Phoenix and just outside Chicago so I think now I just have New York and I've hit all the biggest in the country. So look out Houston, I intend on getting lots of steps on my pedometer investigating you!!!

Procrastination #2

Tuesday, December 31, 2013

If not now....when?? If I just started now and planned for whatever was to come then I could make choices that would fit into the lifestyle I want to live. I might find I have the desire to eat just one treat instead of the whole plate. Or I might find that I enjoy the healthier choices even more than the old treats.

So starting today I am on my lifestyle journey starting for the last time!! From now on ups and downs are just bumps on the path and we all know the paths are always bumpy. The bumps help us to gain traction if we lose our footing anyway!! Enjoy whatever I desire just plan on doing the healthy things, too! Drink 10 glasses of water, eat at least 5 fruits and veggies daily. Get up and move as much as possible. START!!

The Call

Friday, November 22, 2013

We all know it's going to happen......parents get old, sick and then pass on. But we are never ready when the end is imminent. My sister and Mom actually got called to the hospital this morning as Dad is worse than he's ever been. No blood pressure and respiration really high. No known reason this time. Before we knew he had the heart attack and then his kidneys went down, but this time nothing except it's just that time. We'll see. He's still an onry ol' coot and you just never know. Waiting impatiently for the doctor to arrive and tell us what is possibly going on.

My Dad has always been my confidant. I used to get up at 0400 to go milk the cows and gather the eggs with him. We talked about flying and construction and made lots of things together. He will be greatly missed when he goes.

How sad, I am glad you have really great memories of him. That will make his passing just a little easier. In heaven he may help out with the farm choirs. The best
part is he will be in a better place and have loved one's there with him.

God bless you and your family! "Father along well know all about it, father along we will understand why" emoticon !!!

My prayers are with you and your loved ones. My father passed 23 years ago and I still think of him and miss him every day. My wonderful memories of our times together always bring me comfort and keep him "alive in my heart."
